So they can announce a trade now and it becomes official after the draft?

So they can announce a trade now and it becomes official after the draft?

So how would a starting lineup look with Murphy on board. I’m having a hard time envisioning Murph in the starting lineup without benching Thompson. Would one of Murphy or Thompson move into that SG spot?
–or–
What do you think about moving to a more offensive minded starting lineup and have Thompson coming off the bench as a defensive stopper.
–so–
Cunningham (PG)
Duncan (SG)
Murphy (SF)
Harris (PF)
Duren (C)
I mean technically the Stafford trade broke before the Super Bowl and wasn’t made “official” until a couple of months later when the new league year started. It’s not some foreign concept.
Murphy would play the 2.
Cade
Murphy
Ausar
Harris
Duren
Duncan would come off the bench, because players like him are bench players on championships teams…not starters.
I think whoever our big trade acquisition is needs to play the 2. Duncan is the worst starter in the lineup from last year. Yeah he’s a great shooter but he doesn’t really do anything else, and we need another ball handler on the floor with Cade to take pressure off of him, especially in late game situations.
That type of player is much easier to find at the 2 than at the 4.
Plus, Harris isn’t a bad player. He’s overpaid, sure, but I hope he’s on our team next season one way or another.
I tend to agree. It all started with Shams saying about a month ago that he thinks the Pistons are looking to make a splash and now we’re seeing them in every rumor outside of Giannis in Murphy, Irving, Herro, Reaves so at the very least it looks like Langdon is trying to land a significant player. It doesn’t mean he will execute a trade of course but it looks like he’s trying hard to make one happen.
Murphy is the best option but it’s going to take a huge haul to land him and while I like him I’m unsure if I want to give up something like Holland, Stew and 3-4 1sts for him. Kyrie is highly cost dependent, I’m not giving up Holland for him but maybe this years 1st+ something small but that’s only a short term solution and there’s major question marks about a 35 year old coming off of ACL injury and having not played competitive basketball for a year and a half plus I think they need a long term solution so any of Murphy, Reaves or Herro would be fine depending on cost.
Kyrie only has one year left on his current deal too, which means the capital to get him shouldn’t be as much relatively.
They can but aren’t official till after the draft.
They need to quit pussy footin around and make a great trade!

Get that jersey off him, NOW!
End of season. Pistons will have the same roster yes or no
Said they would look at Kyrie lol
also sorry if i have been gone, was in japan for a bit and busy with school.
i know basketball, but damn the tigers make me sad rn man,
Pistons have the resources to make moves and create a good team here
He probably would have felt dirty taking more than he did. The guy spends half the game laying on the floor. He gets paid plenty enough for doing that.
Those floors are fairly dirty. No need to add more dirt right?
You cant have Thompson and Duren on the court together. Worst offense in the NBA with them on the court together. Yea lavert isnt a great option. But offensively its better than Thompson.
But with that trade and extension. You can sign another mid level player. Like a Robinson like player. Cheap vet
Based on playoff performance and timing. They should get more in trade for thompson than duran. I would not be surprised if thompson is traded and duran signed in a match offer situation.
