I would be surprised if NO give him up. Im on the Hero idea more. Stones can still resign Harris. Robinson comes of the bench and now the bench got deeper and better
Man I want that to happen so bad. The guy is exactly what we need.
I worry he’s not the ball handler we need next to Cade, but he fits the timeline moving forward, which Kyrie doesn’t really, and we could sign a scoring combo guard like Ayo or Sexton to come off the bench and play alongside Cade at times if we need to.
He might not be the great ball hander (though he isn’t terrible either) but he would take so much pressure off CC in other ways.
I want this to happen.
He’s just a much more complete player than Duncan Robinson, which will help immensely.
I hope that if we make this trade it’s not the only move we make to actually try improving this team.
Expanding off of this…I hope we actually go and target that kind of ball handler combo guard to be our 6th man next season.
I’m pretty confident we’ll try and make a trade for a guy like Trey Murphy. I’m not confident that we’re going to go after a 3rd guard that can really handle the ball…and Trey isn’t really a guard either which worries me.
I think the best version of this team in 2026/27 is the one where we have three guards that can all score and can all handle the ball. Cade is obviously one. Trey Murphy is good enough to be two. I want that third guy, because I don’t think Daniss Jenkins is that level of a scorer that we need from our bench.
Examples are Ayo Dosunmu, Collin Sexton, Coby White, etc., all of whom are free agents.
This is my dream for this season:
Cade
Trey
Ausar
Harris
Duren
Jenkins
Ayo/Coby White
Duncan
Yaxel
Stewart/Reed
That team can actually be under the luxury tax if Duncan and Harris are handled correctly, which is pretty crazy.
If the board fell like that, I’d want Christian Anderson, one of the best shooters in the draft.
Do not tease me about this guy.
I did a very interesting fun trade
Pistons trade: Stewart/Lavert/27 1st/Sasser/Lanier/#21
Pistons get: Hero/Jacquez/#10
Bulls trade: Williams/Miller/#15
Bulls get: Turner
Heat trade: Herro/Wiggins/Jovic/Ware/Jacquez/Jakucionis/#13/28 1st swap /29 1st /31 1st
Heat get: Giannis/Williams/Lavert/Miller/Lanier
Bucks trade: Giannis/Turner/#10
Bucks get: Ware/Wiggins/Jovic/Stewart/Sasser/Jakucionis/13/15/ 21/Det 27 1st/28 1st swap with Miami/29 1st via Mia/31 1st via Mia
Why does the pistons do it: They get Herro and move up for Yaxel. They can sign Duren and Ausar to extensions and bring back harris for a Cade/Herro/Ausar/Harris/Duren with Jenkins/Robinson/Jaquez/Ron/Yaxel/Reed bench
Why does the bulls do it: They are looking for a center and Williams is on a not so good contract so they move pick 15 and Williams for Turner who would be a solid addition with Matas and they still have pick 5 to pair with Turner/Matas/Giddey along with cap space
Why do Heat do this: They get Giannis to pair with Bam. They still have Mitchell as well and they do get a little depth back here with Lavert and Williams with the former on a 1 year expiring
Why do the bucks do this: They get 6 1st rd picks and a potential swap. They also get what a rebuilding team likes a big expiring and 5 young prospects(Ware/Jakucionis/Sasser/Stewart/Jovic) Yes they end up trading down in this draft but end up with 13/15/21. They still after this draft have 3 guaranteed future 1st along with a potential swap and still could make more deals trading away Portis/Kuzma
The problem is Herro is on the last year of his deal.
I wouldn’t give up any real value for him, he’s gonna want 40m after the season.
Im definitely in the Overpay-Lose the Battle Win the War camp on adding a better talent than Herro or a minor UnkT stretch 4 upgrade than a Trey or MPJ or Markkanen or Booker or whatever
I am also in the overpay for Dosunmu camp. I’ve seen enough Alex Cobb/Kenta Maeda/Drew Anderson bullshit from Scott Harris.
Well there goes that big trade we all wanted unless he’s dirt cheap
He will be dirt cheap. He was a $6M deal when we had him last time. He might be cheaper than that this time around.
He’d actually have a smaller role than last time most likely.
Just feel like this will be only move if they sign him. Remember its a Detroit team
That’s not going to happen.
Beasley is a role player. Always was. We’re going to add at least one guy that’s more than a role player.
We will see
That source is also questionable so it might not even happen.
