sports is nuts about stats. once you think there are enough, they track MORE things.
maybe with AI they can track ‘proximity’ distance to the QB on pressures.
so you have mild pressure, 5 feet away and close-talker pressure 1 foot away.
Hutch isn’t a one trick pony that only goes for sacks. He’s good at stopping the run and this year they have done a good job at playing contain on mobile QBs. Not many DEs are better than him.

If the right tackle for the Giants is such a badass how about next time he actually goes solo against hutch. No chips by tight ends or running backs. No inside guard help. No quick passing game or heavy screen gameplan. Him vs hutch and let’s see how that actually works. Good luck buddy because the film I saw had at least two sets of eyes on Hutchinson most of the time.

Actually it was more Alim blowing the guard up 10 yards in the backfield. I love Hutch but Alim made that play
Look I want more from Hutch too… But we are being way too hard on a guy with 16 sacks in his last 16 games. He also snapped his leg. And still producing.
How many guys in the nfl have 16 sacks in their last 16 games?

Done for the year. 4 sacks. Would have been a waste of draft capital.
Though I do wonder if the injury plagued 31 year old season keeps a lid on his FA price if he makes it to the open market.
