Just by the eye test, explosive is definitely the word I use to describe Jahmyr’s running. It’s unreal how fast is moving when he hits the hole. I am struggling to think of a pro comp.

Just rewatched the Raiders highlights and there were a bunch of plays where a less explosive RB (meaning virtually all of em) would have been nailed for a loss where Jahmyr managed to get to the LOS or gain a yard or three.
Man, if the OL truly hits its stride and gives him some more daylight, we are watching a major star in the making.

To me he’s got a little Chris Johnson in him. Don’t think he’s quite as fast in a straight line, but obviously fast enough

I think a good offensive line will give you no negative rushes. But I think it takes an explosive player to get the plus yards. Which makes sense as the few that are to the far right are super quick. Mosert is a freak

When people on here where calling him a scat back or a 3rd down back when he was already among to the league leaders in yards after contact per carry and broken tackles it was driving me crazy.
If you think he was overdrafted then fine but let’s not act like he hasn’t been great when he’s touched the ball

I know someone has thrown that out as a comp before and I thought it was as as good as I’ve seen.
Gibbs has really shocked me at how physical he is on contact.
I honestly think he’s been even better at breaking tackles than Montgomery. Montgomery is a guy who will run through tackles and fall forward. He’s almost always falling towards the end zone to maximize every rush.
Gibbs is just constantly taking hits and getting out of peoples grasp to gain another 5+.
