Crazy that if we trade for Gonzales we will have 5 pro bowl players from that 23 draft. 4 of them also All Pro. That would certainly help me forget the 24 draft.
Especially low firsts. Two low firsts for a 25 year old all pro corner? I’m making that deal. That helps depth at corner and safety.

We love to pay our guys, I get it. We also had tons of high capital in a couple great drafts, and we spent it quite well. We got a gift when Waddle/Lance etc went above Sewell and another when Walker went above Hutch…
The problem when you PAY EVERYONE is you have guys like Saylors backing up Gibbs vs Gibby and Monty- you have D White or Rolder playing week one over an Anzalone level guy.
8-10M vets and superstar rookies on rookie deals is a solid recipe for lots of talent and veteran leadership. Now we are paying 2nd year top of market contracts and balancing that with bargain bin injury prone FAs and “high ceiling” draft picks we hope can beat the broken vets out.
I’m good moving on from Kerby if need be, franchising Branch if need be, and drafting CB, S, RB, OG next year

I dont know. Teams with a top of the market running back usually have a dirt cheap vet and rookie as their depth. Saylors doesnt make dramatically more than say Rachaad White. Fans just don’t believe Saylors is good due to pedigree.
God bless Alex Anzalone but I don’t know if letting a player his age walk has ever come back to bite this regime and personally I want less linebackers on the field either way.
