Harbaugh on the move?

what’s sad is he is destroying his own recruiting every year so even if UM wanted to consider competing with the SEC nobody trusts he will be there.

That’s a big part of the stand off with Warde Manual. Jim doesn’t feel Warde is all in on this. Manual pushed back after the season, and Harbaugh doesn’t like it.

This is where Harbaugh gets the reputation for wearing on administrations. His relationship with Manual seems to be getting to that point, but Harbaugh knows what he wants for the program and isn’t willing to settle. The problem for Michigan is if Harbaugh can’t move Michigan to be more committed to NIL, the transfer portal, salary pools, etc, then who will?

Michigan has to decide what they want the program to be going forward. What they decide could make Harbaugh’s decision for him.

I was thinking Harbaugh wanted to leave because he doesn’t like what College Football has become. He doesn’t like NIL and he realizes you are gonna have to get “Dirty” to keep up with the Alabamas and Georgias to “Win”….he doesn’t want to pay players to come to Michigan. He will pay you once you are at Michigan but he may not even like that. I’m thinking he might prefer the NFL to not have to deal with what the NCAA has become.

Manual has been pretty dug in on NIL, he was dug in with players being allowed to use the block M. He’s had to be dragged into the NIL stuff. Harbaugh is definitely frustrated with the college game, but Manual’s a big reason why.

If Harbaugh leaves because Michigan isn’t willing to pay him/give him what he’s worth. I will laugh at them for the next decade while they toil around as a mediocre program again

I think Manuel needs to step up as I haven’t been impressed with him for a while now, his handling of Bakich sitatuion was not good. Now his handling of this is leaving things to be desired, guy needs do better.

Maybe replace Warren as B1G commissioner now that he is going to the Bears, not sure if that is feasible but would be happy to see him go.
