Hear me out trade down

Guy in the image is the perfect Baltimore Raven pick

Same could be said about Dean last night, guy had 2 solo tackles was all, no pressures, no TFL.

One game won’t affect their draft stock

2 & 34 for 4 & 10 is interesting, but I’d want the Jets to sweeten the deal with their second or lower 4th Rd pick, which is presently No. 108 overall (worth 78 points on the chart), but that figure will be lower after the 3rd Rd comp picks are added.

Thanks for the correction @Sofatso …I did mean 4.

One big benefit not mentioned is the extra year on a rookie contract. That would be valuable, especially for a (WR, QB, CB), positions that are expensive to extend/resign.

I would rather see a WR/CB taken with the Rams pick, rather than a LB (if both players equal on draft board). Get that 5th year on an expensive position.

None of that will matter if the player is a bust. In Holmes we trust.

Im asking for more. Trend over the years has been overpay to move up, not get a discount. Yeah this draft class isn’t top tier but if NYJ want to move up for their guy the precedent is to pay appropriately or beyond that, not at a discount. Whatever happens we know Holmes will handle it much better than BQ.

Perhaps, but not every GM is Butch Davis, who gave up a 2d Rd pick to move up one spot after Matt Millen of all people snookered him into thinking the Lions we’re taking Kellen Winslow Jr.

Yes. I think I would. If it’s guaranteed I have the choice between AH or KT and Brisker, or, Hamilton and Wilson - I think I take Hamilton and Wilson. The Rams’ pick and the 2nd round picks are a bit of a lottery depending on how other teams pick - and this would remove that whilst plugging 2 big gaps with the best player at the position in the draft.

I think there’s also more scope for either a very good edge rusher or very good linebacker being available with the Rams pick than there is an elite receiver. Plus the added opportunity to pick up a very solid linebacker or edge rusher still in the 3rd round. I think you’re less likely to find a very good WR1 in the 3rd round than a very good linebacker or edge rusher - especially in this class.

The ideal scenario is that a QB gets lots of hype over the next couple months and teams start calling us to get in front of the Texans.
