My biggest fear with Goff is that he will be neither great (yay! We’ve found our QB going forward) nor terrible (definitely got to dump him and take a QB up high in 2022).
But he will instead be … kind of OK.
Do Holmes and Campbell have the fortitude to move on from him in such a scenario? Or are we back in “we’re getting there; next year will be the year, I’m sure of it” with another QB?

Yes, they have the fortitude, but it would be different than the impetuous, schizophrenic, ewwwy fortitude that had a death-grip on McVain. It’s also unlikely their vision will be clouded by Goff wanting to pipe their wives. I think Goff has learned to only think those things…
