Help me out with goff not a td play?

And what’s absolutely BULLSH*****

The NFL and Refs from the game have said “The refs came together and decided it was indeed a penalty. New York didnt inform them” fine. Totally within their rights HOWEVER.

They told the team “It came from New York” as stated by both Dan and Goff in the post game.

So either
A the NFL is covering their ass and lying to reporters and they did tell officials to throw the flag
Or
B the The Lions are lying to reporters to make themselves feel good.

And how will we know the truth?
If Dan and Goff get fined from the NFL for making false claims. Which they will appeal. OR
No NFL fine. And the truth was New york called down to help team swifties.

Referees can lie to reporters left and right. 0 accountability.

The NFL is absolutely lying. Why? NY isn’t allowed to chime in on an illegal motion penalty. And they know it. But they did it anyway. Now, they are covering. How many times have other teams heard.. “we know they made a mistake, but sadly its not reviewable.” and fans have to put up with something that causes their team to lose. This time, they made an exception for the chiefs.. to influence the game.. on purpose.

We already know the truth. If it wasn’t true then Dan wouldn’t have said it.

Great post btw

Now, explain the the catch that touched the ground.

No meetings. No call from the league. Just, let’s hurry up and get the next play off before everyone notices.

Why no false start against KC’s RT. How long does the guy get away with that shit? His entire career, so far! If they put paper on the guy the way they do TA and Branch, he’d be out of the league. He obviously can’t do his job without CHEATING!

Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought they changed the rule that the ball could touch the ground as long as the catch was secured before? That’s why I wasn’t upset. I only saw the replay once, but at first look, it didn’t appear that Kelce used the ground to gain possession or that the ground caused Kelce to lose possession.

Exactly. No more, no less. No script-writers. No conspiracies. It was a flag and it was correctly called by the officials. This thread is drifting a little too far into crazyville. If the Lions had won 30 - 17 instead of the opposite, we’re not even talking about this. It was a four point switch, and a 13 point loss.

Wrong. It was a illegal motion. Flag came a 1 minute. Please tell when the last time a illegal formation wasn’t called then after the play they hundled around and say it was. They missed the call its on refs to throw the flag right away, when its happening some many damn times before. Oh and change the outcome. Even if you can’t see it

It was a TD play. It took them a minute to confer. It is neither the first time nor last time it will happen.

Yep. I think for me the only confusion is refs said in the pool afterwards that NY didn’t chime in (makes sense). But both Dan and Goff are under the impression it did, which is a little confusing. I’d like to know if they were told it was from NY when it happened?

…and the part of the call they reversed was NON-REVIEWABLE

THat’s what you’re missing

Coach Dan said the official told him that on the sideline explanation.

Nobody reviewed it. It wasn’t reviewed by the league and was not reviewed by a ref on the field. The refs simply had a conversation. Which again, we’ve seen before and will see again.

When’s the last time thats happened? Refs missed it, somebody called down and for people saying it didn’t matter. Not the point at all. Nfl needs to fix this shit

They still didn’t thrown the flag, you can’t just throw one after the math. Its a live play flag. Not after the fact

It may or may not have had any bearing on the game final. My guess is not. The real problem is the inconsistency in the officiating. We can say it had no bearing on the outcome all day long but nobody really knows. And even it did not it still goes to the integrity of the game. This kind of thing should bother every football fan. NFL refs get paid over $200,000 a year, part time, to do their jobs. They need to get it right. I am cool with the final call because by rule it was right. I am not cool with the fact that they completely ignored another rule to get to that rule. Maybe they should have ignored a stupid rule when Schwartz threw a challenge flag and everyone in the world watched as they awarded a touchdown to the other team that EVERYBODY knew was not. IF fans keep accepting this crap then we will keep getting this crap. It is not this game that is a problem it is the consistent bad or partial referring.

…so basically, you trust the NFL’s story over Dan Campbell, where I believe Dan over the NFL.
Gotcha
