I had him ranked as a late-2nd/early-3rd, so I was especially thrilled. He was my DT3 in the class after Young and Newton (and ahead of Fiske). Having his measurables will almost always cause guys to drop unless they’ve been uniquely dominant in college (Kancey), but I agree that he’ll end up as a steal.

I thought we’d look DT Day 3 the guy I contstantly had us pegged was NT Tyler Davis… but that doesn’t make sense in hindsight because we took NT Bromart last year.
I didn’t think Wingo would be there. Kinda shocked both his teammates went before him.
He was lumped in with Dorlus & Michael Hall tier for me.
I think he ends up being our replacement for Alim after the year, and I think he does a pretty good job of it.
While they kinda play the same position, they’re very different players imo. Wingo will be a better pressure guy probably but Alim is much better as a run defender. And probably always will be, he’s got like 30 pounds on him after all.
Fixed it for ya buddy, he should be the backup 3T that Levi was s’posed to be.

I’m getting a sugar high just from reading that. I believe in the heights he can reach because of age and focus, though Aaron Donald-ish talk does no one any good. Wingo is my rookie crush because UDFAs making the team are so far-fetched on this roster, though Dirtbag comes in a close second just because of Brad’s evaluation love tap.
In the preseason… the announcers better say “now entering the game at right guard, keep your eyes on the Dirtbag fans”

If, in a couple of years, our DT rotation is McNeil, Martin, Wingo (flexing outside as well) and a stud from this upcoming class, I think we’ll be set for awhile. Then by the time we have to pay the stud from this class, we can let McNeil go.

I think his absolute ceiling, if things go well, is John Randle. He’s got that kind of maniacal drive and work ethic.
