How many of you folks go camping?

Me and my brother and a bunch of our buddies used to do a fall salmon camping trip (it was more of a drunkfest) but I loved it, so many memories.

Other than those yearly fishing trips, I never got into camping much, mostly because my ex-wife was creeped out by bugs and everything. Let’s just say she wasn’t made for the outdoors.

Anyways, the girl ive been dating wants to go camping, like tent camping.

How many of you here go camping?
I know some people live for it.

I thought about converting my 12 foot enclosed trailer into a camping machine and just pack everything in it and go, kayaks and all.

I tent camp at least once a year.

I live in a small condo in DC and sometimes I have to get out! Nothing like a camp fire.

Tent camping is camping… Where toilet paper is a luxury… I don’t consider driving an rv or trailer to a lot and plugging into power and water as camping :man_shrugging: I don’t do it as much as I used to when my daughter was younger… We’d go camping on the beach on nordhouse dunes

I wouldn’t choose to sleep in a tent anymore. But I wouldn’t be opposed to if I could get far away from other people. That’s a tradeoff I’d be open to. RV park? Do you know how many 5 star hotels I can stay at for the price of an RV?

Do you know how many people shared that same bed and shared the bed bugs?

Next time you go to a hotel, put a clothing iron on the bed and see if any bed bugs come to the surface.

Glamping only for me. Give me a cabin, trailer, RV or sprinter van and I’m in heaven. Even a yurt is fine by me. A tent? I’ll pass.

last time I went camping, everybody had these $30,000 dollar RV’s, my best friend and I set up a tent, but you woke up feeling like you got your ass kicked , sore for hours, ugh. that was up by The Rifle River.

Last time I heard of someone getting bed bugs it was my boss with the huge RV. He did something through his church where they stayed somewhere and provided their own sleeping bags on I think existing cots. And they all got bed bugs.

Vacation hack: don’t rent a hotel. Just do copious amounts of meth during your vacation, don’t sleep at all and you won’t have to worry about bed bugs.

If I suggested camping, my family would laugh at me. I got them to love hiking in the mountains though. Win for me.
