How much do we have to spend in UFA?

Re-signed Glasgow $20M/3yr
Signed Davenport $6.5M/1yr
Traded for Carlton Davis $14M/1yr (restructure)
Signed Amik Robertson $9.25M/2yr
Re-signed Skipper - Vet min
Signed DJ Reader - $22M/2yr
Re-signed Dorsey - Vet min??
Re-signed Daly - Vet min??
Re-signed Donovan Peoples Jones - $1.75??
Signed Kevin Zeitel $8.5M/1yr??

Current cap space = $23M, when budgeting for draft picks = $20, when budgeting for draft picks, practice squad and in-season moves = $8M. Current APY for the year (including draft picks) = $224M and based on prior 3yrs, I thought we’d get to about $230M. Should be enough to sign maybe one more UFA and some low budget guys.

Thanks for the update, it is appreciated.

I personally would be very surprised if we did not add a veteran at WR and safety before the draft that average 4mil+ AAV.

Still some guys out there that will be making plays for somebody on Sundays, we have some room and potential to free up more space… but where do we need some additional help at this point?

Wr3, S 3, backup OL… we still have the draft but man i like the spot we are in

I haven’t been able to predict one of our offseason acquisitions yet this year so I’m hoping Bad Brad signs Simmons soon !!!

Calais Campbell too.

@DeadStroke Where do you have us now? I have:

Projected Salary Cap $257,166,364.00
Top 51 Contracts $212,690,505.00
Dead Money $23,054,507.00
Draft Pick Pool (7) $2,820,952.00
Practice Squad $4,000,000.00
In-Season Moves $5,000,000.00
Projected Cap Space $9,600,400.00
Plus Cam Sutton 6/1 $10,500,000.00

Just wondering how close I am.

I think you’re pretty much spot on, except I think you may be a little low on PS and In-season (I’m budgeting $11.5M for both). But it’s just a guess. You’re other numbers are spot on and I can’t say that your $9M (PS/In-season) is wrong . … But I’d go higher.

Also, I’m not positive that we’re getting the credit for Sutton this year (we may). I’m going to get Jason at OTC to chime in (after things have died down a little for him).

I’ve always felt the budget is going to be a little different than the cap. Assuming we are getting $11M cap relief from Sutton, I can see us spending $10M -$20M more in UFA. I don’t think we’ll do it, I think we’ll bank it for next season, but I think there is money there to spend if something comes up.

What would the maximum amount for PS be? I think according to the rules, it’s max of 10 guys who have no more than two years who could potentially earn up to $370,800 for 18 games and then 6 guys who have yet accrue 2 seasons at $216,000 for 18 games?

So somewhere around $5,004,000? ((370,800 x 10)+(216,000 x 6))

I might have this wrong re-reading. Maybe it’s only 6 at more than 2 years and 10 the other way??

6 @ 370,800 max + 10 @ 216,000 max = 4,384,800

Or re-re-reading…the original might be right. hahaha

And re-re-re-reading the CBA, I might be using 2023 numbers.

So maybe, 6 (4 with 2 years accrued, 2 with unlimited) @ $383,400 max and 10 (less than 2 years) @ $225,000 = $4,550,000

Deadstroke is the man but let us not forget the one time Jman stumped him in the comp pick cancellations
