You have too much public history. You’ve been ready to dump him from day one, and, after every perceived “poor performance”.
To say you don’t love him is the understatement of the decade, so far.

I’ve had the stance QBs make too much money and aren’t worth it. My public history is of that nature. Not at all that I don’t think Goff is good.
But people believe what they want. Feel free to go find where I’ve said I don’t like or view him as bad.
Peak Goff for me is Matt Ryan or Kirk Cousins. You probably interpret that as hate.
that is why you look at their whole work on a season, not part of them through a sample of certain games. considering US, we are in a hole, have several injuries, messed up play-calling, messed up game planning, we have a handful of players whiffing on tackles, dropping footballs, playing sloppy, both lines have been lesser-than, a HC playing OC, it’s a mess ALL over, not just at a position or two. and it all counts/factors into harming our season. damn I WISH it was just Goff we had to worry about, yet he is trying to make something out of this season.

Yeah, man! We need to focus on real problems. We have 101 problems, but, Goff isn’t one of them. He’s just a symptom.

“Above average” is maybe the second-biggest understatement in this thread. In spite of his OL crappy protection - the Lions’ OL ranks 28th in pass block win rate - Goff ranks 3rd in QB ranking, and 2nd in pass completion percentage. TD:INT = 25:5.
And STILL people like @CMafia keep trotting out the tired old “he needs everything to be ‘perfect’ to succeed”? 
Let me say it again: THE LIONS’ OL RANKS 28th OF 32 in pass block win rate, but Jared Goff is the 3RD-RANKED QB in the league. And the Lions are up there in drops this year. Takes some serious contortions to get from that that Goff is the problem.

I’m not reading all that. You simply don’t like Goff and never have. Your posting history says just that, just like the numbers show the lions oline is awful in pass pro. They’re literally numbers saying you’re wrong and you still believe you’re right, that’s a you problem not a me problem. The numbers clearly show that the lions oline is trash in pass pro. That’s not some made up myth…it’s a irrefutable fact at this point.

Unless 2 different people who have never met can be given the criteria of the stat, watch a season worth of games, and have virtually the same stats, say +/-2. Then the stat is subjective crap.
Well, pretty much everyone, other than a few, put Goff in the top 5, +/- 2.
The stats say he’s number 3, but, I’m being generous.

Lmao what? Where do you guys come up with this stuff? I haven’t even stated that Goff is THE problem and in fact in this thread & others I have stated the OLine isn’t good enough and is the biggest problem on this team.
It’s always pick a side around here. And if I don’t come to the conclusion Goff is one of the best QBs in the league it means I think he’s trash.
Someone please go find threads that I’ve called Goff bad or said he wasn’t good. If you find it you win. I don’t even post much at all around here anymore.

Opinions are great. You can say i think Mahomes is the best ever. That is a subjective opinion that many would say is reasonable. It’s fake stats I’m not a fan of. Lots of them out there. You can get rich off that stuff.

On GB’s bomb to Watson they ran sort of a hybrid of max protect. 12 personnel both TEs chip and then run routes to the flat. Jacobs does a stutter step in the back fuel before running his hook. My guess is he’s buying a beat to see if the MIke fires. Once he knows that the MIKE isn’t blitzing he fires off.
We could incorporate some in between concepts at times. But you don’t want to play that way often.
The best solution is to run the ball the way that we are accustomed to.
Not only do we have a bottom 5-10 pass pro OL, we also have a new OC situation calling new plays behind the suspect OL…
Despite that we are #2 in the NFL in pot on offense, and Goff is on pace for 4400 yards with 35 TDs and 8 ints and a 110 rating
He’s having a top 5 QB season with a bottom 5 pass pro OL…
