Hutchinson return possible by NFC Championship

I’d definitely want some NFCCG snaps, just to help him up to speed

It’ll be an issue of pain tolerance and being in shape… There is zero risk of re-injuring the broken bone if it’s fully healed

I snapped my collarbone in March, had a plate and 7 screws inserted… Anytime my gf leans her arms, hands, head on the scar, it still hurts… 9 months later… I don’t have the drugs they do tho

That’s the big one…even if the bone is fully healthy. When you can’t run for 2 and half months, cardio will be suffering a lot. But even on a pitch count it would be massive

Collar bones are a little different…

I’d assume so… A lot less meat surrounding the bone… It’s literally my only personal experience I can relate to for surgery, I hadn’t even had an IV in my 38 years before that

Hutch is ready to go…

How hard u working the rehab?

Pretty active job, golfed 3 weeks later… It causes me zero pain or restriction now… It’s just the skin around the scar which rubs on the titanium plate that’s painful when pressure is applied

Lions will be resting starters that game (or at least some) so he won’t be needed even though available.

For me not a reinjury but a new soft tissue injury.

Bone is good so it’s about rebuilding all the strength to the secondary/supporting muscles and the primary movers. I do t want him going into the offseason dealing with a ligament injury die to instability issues from rushing back. I know the lions won’t. If he’s out there it’s cause he’s ready.

Nobody is going to put him out there unless he’s 100%

I wonder if upon his return Dan wishes him luck with the old, “Go break a leg, Aiden.”

I’ve always wondered where that saying comes from… It’s like telling your wife or significant other to go crash their car before headed out for a ride

The go break a leg I have read has to actually do with how fans used to show appreciation.

Supposedly at a play if they really liked the show they would “lift chair up and back down” thus creating a loud banging noise. If this was done with vigor one might “break the chair leg” hence eventually the saying “go break a leg”

I actually think the Lions will need Hutch for the NFCCG against Philly. Listen Phillybhas talent. One could argue they have the most talented roster in the NFC or even NFL. That team has some players. So it would be nice to have Hutch for that game
