I’m thinking late 4 is his floor.
I’d love to get him round 5 or our comp 5… if he’s there for our 6 from Teslaa trade or 6 from Tim Patrick trade would be grand.

Ooh, I think it’s wagering time. You still owe me from Sawyer last year.
ruh roh, what was the bet?
I think you claimed he would go top 50 (this was shortly after the national championship game), but it was for sure at least top 2 rounds. At the time you were rather certain he was a 1st rounder and rather unkind to those of us who thought otherwise lol.
I was rather unkind to you? no way man.
I totally remember loving Jack Sawyer… at one point I know I had him & Tory Horton in my day1/2 mock for most of the offseason.
Did I make a bet with you not pay up, I know you were totally lower on him than I was.
Eh, I think it was just an avi bet if anything and at this point I don’t care. Certainly no actual money involved. Ooh, maybe we could do a tag bet, like where mine says “armchair draft expert” (which I didn’t put there fyi), I wonder if we can custom-make those to say like, “draft dummy” or something.
You are a Draft Expert. Whoever put that tag there was right.
Now, gonna need to see that Top 100 Thats2 Board.
Yeah right! You spoiled it with all of your threats. I will give it to you when the 14th pick is on the board and not a moment sooner.
Isn’t the Mel Kiper tag shame enough? lol
C’mon man. Have a Heart.
Don’t be a grinch.

Right lol, you can’t get mad at me for talking smack sometimes… I clown myself too.
I’m literally Mad Mel on here. And I can show you many posts that have me calling me a dumb ass idiot moron (mostly in the betting threads) but also saying that I am MID AS ■■■■ in other threads.
But I do have THE BEST Lions mock on the internet. It was so good the year in the D the people on the radio started mimicking it the days leading up to the draft.

This place would not be the same without you here during draft season and I mean that in a good way!
Good point! He is willingly self-shaming. I’d rotate to Mayock. He’s old school like Kiper too, but out of the biz since the fail-job with the Raiders (which imo was more Gruden’s fault than his). He deserves a love from the people.
I admit that I have not watched much tape on this guy but every thing I have read says Kaleb Elarms-Orr could very well be a good LB pick for us. He has the size, athleticism, and speed to stick in man coverage or be used as a blitzer.
He is an option for our type of WILL for sure. I didn’t think he played as fast as he tested, at least in short areas, but he’s definitely got plenty of sideline-to-sideline juice.

Agree he’s one my day 3 guys for sure

I feel the same way about you bro ![]()

Exactly. If I wasn’t being quite unkind in my offseason takes, how could I justify being Mad Mel then???
I definitely think Rodrigo is in the mix. He is a converted safety.
I agree that he’s the sort of WILL we tend to like, and he could improve in coverage like AA did. That said he’s not as good a cover man as you’d expect from a former safety, at least not right now. Not in man anyway, he regularly loses guys at the route stem. That said he IS a playmaker in the passing game, good in zone, and able to stick with RBs and TEs through the “straight” portion of their route. So it’s not too big of a stretch to think he could improve when they break off their routes. Honestly if he lost a little weight he might become and overhang type LB all of us want by accident.
