I have never witnessed a fanbase so demoralized at a 7-5 record

If that is the schedule next year the road schedule doesn’t look bad with bills and 49ers as the toughest non division games. Then at home we get NE and TB as our toughest home non division games. That aint bad

Our issues are lack if talent in the backups along the Offensive Line and Defensive Line.

Glasgow is basically our backup Center. Talent falls off a cliff behind him.

Mahogany was and probably will be good, again. Again, talent falls off a cliff behind him.

Decker and Sewell have been playing with injuries, because, even injured, they are better than their backups.

Along the DLine, we have a similar, although, not as severe, issue.

We have one starting caliber DE, and, he is rarely spelled. Mo is a quality backup, but, again, talent falls off a cliff, behind.

DT is the strongest position on the Dline, with 3 starting caliber players, but, the talent falls off a cliff, behind them.

Injuries, and, the talent behind those injured players are 90% of the problem.

So, like most every other NFL team?

Worse than some. Better than some.

How many teams are playing a 3rd string Center? With a 2nd string left guard…and winning games?

You’re right, the other 3 being banged is fairly normal.

Yeah, I’m not disagreeing. Just reiterating that for most teams, there is a steep drop of in quality between even just their starters and backups. Let alone the 3rd string guys.

I wish we could upgrade to 3rd string guys on IOL and IDL

There were a lot of years where 7-5 had you somewhere near the at top of the division, completely different currently

No one is asking for 15-2. Can we raise the bar from the previous 30 years though and expect the playoffs?

7-5 looks a lot better if you were 5-5 two weeks ago rather than 7-3 two weeks ago.

The trendlines matter.

You want to be peaking from TDay to the playoffs not flailing down the stretch.
And we are flailing.
Dallas is on the upswing.
If we don’t beat Dallas, who we are competing with for a Wildcard spot…you can put a fork in us.

Losing Mahogany to a broken leg week 9 was a real killer on that OL. Kid’s a gamer through and through. Fast learner, too.
