If they lose against WASH making it the first back to back lose in 70 years then Morton will be fired.
I’m just not buying that it’s on the offensive coordinator.
I think people are underestimating the poor offensive line play as a factor in the offense looking sloppy.
Replacing a dominant stud in Ragnow with that washed up bum Glasgow and having two first-year starters on either side of him as well as a left tackle in Decker who’s pretty much falling off a cliff is the real problem.
I mean take a step back for a second and really look at our offensive line. Sewell is the only one on the line who can be counted on to consistently play at a high level which is vastly different from how our line has been the past couple seasons.
Everybody in here has acknowledged that our offensive line is the key to making this offense work because Goff is not a mobile quarterback and our running game is incredibly important so I don’t understand why all the sudden so many are calling for the offensive coordinator’s head when clearly the offensive line is the main problem here.
Maybe he’ll work out and maybe he won’t but it’s foolish to judge him until we get the offensive line issues fixed which is on Brad.
dc calls a good game as OC. he did it his first season before he handed it to ben. he should take over until he finds a good replacement. did ben have a young understudy/assistant?

That’s not even close. He benched his first OC, mid-season and took over play calling himself, and there was a question who was going to call games as late as week 3 of training camp, Ben’s first year as OC.
This is Dan Campbell’s Offense. Not Ben’s! Not Johnny’s!
Dan may take over play calling, at some point, but, I doubt Johnny will be fired mid-season. Maybe, not at all.
Who is the Rams OC? Does he call the plays?

dan calls a good offensive game. that’s why the transition from him to ben was pretty seamless, they have similar ideas to what they want.

I know the Lions haven’t been as explosive as they were in the past, but unless you’re an idiot, you would realize that they just need to get things straightened out on the O-line. There are guys in new positions, rookies, injuries … Johnny is new here. The #’s aren’t so bad.

Stop talking about averages, and start talking about medians. The median reflects the actual typical performance for any statistic, pushing outliers to the edges.
