Ugh. I hope for their sake it’s not long-term.
I hope it’s not serious.
wonder what Matt would have fetched if this had happened BEFORE the trade?
You think Brad could have squeezed anyone for more than what the Rams coughed up? Indianapolis throws their nickels around like manhole covers, so I don’t think they would have made a comparable offer to what the Rams did. I could get re-educated though…
Never presuppose that I could be right. That’s a bold assumption, if you’re talking about football, man. I think we did really well in the Stafford trade. Just some fringe wondering. LOL
Maybe not long term but it is chronic. Because that dude has been injured every year by something. As much as he even contributed to their super bowl team, it was Foles who was at the helm and leading them when it mattered most.
Wentz just can’t seem to stay healthy
In addition, being a hot head and a red head is no way to go through life.
Disclaimer I have nothing against red heads. Hot heads on the other hand…
I saw that he “felt a pop”… but they are saying it is not the dreaded Lisfranc injury.
I wonder if he might have torn the plantar fascia?
If you want your son to grow up to be a durable NFL QB don’t name him Carson.
Good looking not a great track record for Carsons is there
He’s out for the season they are just slow playing it.
During the draft process, experts were pushing a Wentz over Goff narrative because Wentz would be more durable than the skinny Goff. Off course Goff played more years in a tougher conference without ever missing a game, while Wentz missed almost half his college games. I need to figure out how to get paid as a football expert because I am wrong all the time.

Come at him, bro.
Who the hell is Liz Frank and why was he messing with some other chick when he’s married?
Bears may have a chance to unload Foles now.
Foles has a cap hit of $6.67 million in 2021.
His $4 mill salary is fully guaranteed, as is his $4 roster bonus in 2022 and $1 mill of his 2022 salary.
With his prorated SB… the Bears would have $14.33 mill in total dead money to cut him.
However… if they can get a team to take him off their hands… they only take a $5.33 million total dead cap hit.
They have $9 million reasons to trade him for anything… maybe for a bag of footballs or a used tackling dummy.
Reports indicate Wentz will have surgery on his 5th metatarsal today.
Since it was also mentioned that a bone fragment is being removed… it looks very possible that the injury was an avulsion fracture, which often occurs when a ligament is sprained and a small piece of end of bone is pulled off with the ligament.
More importantly, it appears that it is NOT the difficult “Jones fracture” that occurs more in the middle of the 5th metatarsal where there is less blood supply (can complicate healing of bone).

Have they said how long Wentz will be out?
Thanks for the info brosef.
Part of me wishes his injury would have been called a Foles Fracture, just for the epic storylines it would create.
I’m smelling Alex Smith here.
