Injuries are a serious concern for a playoff run

I’m glad this team has depth, but with the amount of long term injuries that seem to happen weekly I’m losing some faith that this team won’t be healthy to make a deep playoff run. So far we are good enough to overcome so many injuries, but It has been my worst fear all year long that we finally have a team to win it all just to fall short because of this.

Could look at it the other way. A good number should come back at some point and will be fresh.

All depends how they heal up.

Keep winning now and hope reinforcement coming soon.

The injuries are really piling up. I’m not too sure what Holmes was thinking heading into the deadline. We had already lost our 2 starting DEs for the year plus Commish. He should’ve made multiple moves at the deadline acquiring 2 DEs and a LB. There is a very good chance the Lions don’t get to the superbowl because of his arrogance. Reminded me of Mayhew.

When was Mayhew running the best to or close to best team in the league?

Holmes is a much better GM than Mayhew obviously. But Mayhew refused to really address certain positions IE: not upgrading WR in 2013 when the Lions pissed the division away. Holmes should’ve made multiple moves to add defensive pieces. This isn’t hindsight I said it at the time. Even Goff had a quote where he said hopefully we can add a “couple” pieces.

Any word on how serious they were?

I said in the game thread and stand by it… Football can’t be played on 3 days rest if you actually care about player safety. They don’t care. Just about money and ratings.

Well if he made a team good enough to get #1 seed in NFC, I have to assume it has a better chance than any other team to make Super Bowl.

Thx man… Shit we have no linebackers left. I better start stretching…

Yes I do try to be optimistic about players coming back, but man it’s hard to watch so many starters getting hurt.

As long as you got one game in you. Then IR most likely.

I haven’t played a snap in 15 years but I should still last longer than Moseley though :joy::joy:

Not looking for a 400 pound body.

This could be said for every nfl team. Luckily
I think we will have some key players coming back down the stretch. Let’s just hope we don’t add more to the injured list.

11-1 can help with this. We can not rush players back. Could cost us the 1 seed though

True. I think biggest thing is not letting a team from our division pass Lions. So basically at worst get #2 seed. Need Vikings to lose a couple here and beat GB next week (hopefully they also lose today).

I wonder what the league would say if Dan instituted a self imposed bye week for the Bills game? Every Starter that you can possibly rest would start off on the sideline and only play if absolutely needed because one of the backups got injured.

I wonder what type of roster we could put together of just backups and no starters. Is it even possible? Pull guys up from the PS and get them some game time experience. Manu—come on up and let’s see what ya got. Bromart, Vaki, Reynolds, Kennedy, DPJ. Hooker time!!!
