Is JJ a Starting Caliber NFL QB?

These numbers aren’t decent, they are hilarious. Threw 129
Touchdown passes in 177 games (140 starts). Threw for 26,000 yards. Even if you only count his 140 starts, that’s roughly 185 yards per game. That’s completely omitting 37 appearances. So he threw for roughly 2,600 yards and 11 touchdowns 10 ints a year. Different era or not, he probably ranked in the bottom 5 almost every year in every major QB statistic.

And in regards to my comment of “doesn’t prepare his QBs for the NFL”…he was also once called the QB whisperer. That’s quite laughable if you ask me.

He’s obviously a good coach and the dudes love him. Just saying I personally don’t think much of him as a QB and won’t be that upset to see him go :man_shrugging:t2:

Love the message board dorks that just pretend coaches produce high level NFL QBs. Luck, Brady, Mahomes, Manning, whoever else you want to throw out would have been studs under any coach at the next level. The only difference is their draft status/college production could change.

You can’t hide talent in the end game, you can hinder draft status though. JJ is going to be a fine NFL QB.

JJ is 20 years old, unselfish and clutch. Kid has all the tools and is only going to get better and stronger

No reason he doesn’t become a solid QB in the NFL. I’d take him this year as a late first round pick if we needed a QB. Hell of a draft for a team to get their future QB. I could see up to six first round QBs going
