The Eagles will send a 2025 third-round pick and two 2025 seventh-round picks to receive Dotson and a 2025 fifth-round pick from the Commanders.
Rumors was Dotson was about to be cut by the commies, and that he was having a bad camp overall.
If hes bad on the eagles, thats goood value for the commies

Probably a good trade for everyone…he was a holdover from the previous regime in Washington… if they don’t want him around now is the time to ship him.

But is a projected high 5th swap for a projected low 3rd really that much difference?
Not from the Eagles standpoint, no. But throwing that extra 3rd into the deal for Aiyuk would definitely sweeten the pot.
That said I think Dotson kinda sucks. He was behind Zaccheus on the Washington depth chart, and Zaccheus was in Philly last year! So they just traded for a guy who couldn’t beat out a guy they didn’t want last year. Not sure how great a move it was.

There was a lot of chatter that he felt entitled to a feature role as a #2 and when DQ made it known that every spot was up for grabs he pouted, loafed it and got beat out by Dyami.

I hope this ends up like the Anzalone situation. I remember you saying the Lions were way higher on Alex than the fans were. Then all the sudden he got help and looked like a beast. I think Lif is gonna be open 24/7 in this offense and surprise people. Yeah he is a tiny target, but at least you dont have to worry about defenders being in his vicinity.

IMO he wasn’t that good to begin with. Certain not #16OA good.
To me he was a day 2 WR all day every day but Dan Snyder Redskins gonna Dan Snyder Redskins.
Like the gap in talent between him and Brian Thomas is MASSIVE despite being picked in the same area of two different drafts.

I do think having a guy like Hodgins to do this kind of stuff would be helpful. Maybe that can be DPJ. He’s definitely big and strong enough. Not sure about the mentality.
