I don’t remember that, but certainly could be. But at this point I’ll have to see them actually do it before I mock this type of player to us.
There’s a certain type of character risk they’ll go for, the Jamos or CJGJs, guys who work hard and love football, but may have some immaturity or personal issues. The roster can sort those kinds out.
But guys who aren’t coachable? Because that’s what I think it comes down to with Pearce, he’s just very difficult to coach (and manage). Conversely, they met with and will really vet a guy like Mike Green to find out the truth about the SA charges… because he loves the game, works his ass off, and is beloved by his teammates (voted captain this past year at Marshall).
And when James Pearce is not a Lion we will all not be surprised bc of those insiders, writers and coaches. Some things don’t need to be over analyzed. This is one of those things.
Everybody (team personnel) is lying this time of year. I think it was 2 years ago the the player that the Lions drafted in round 1 was not called in for a team interview. Team draft board is more secretive that the national defense. Holmes knows what is going on and he ain’t talking.

But regardless, not every meeting is broadcast, hence meeting w femi off the books and sending brad top LT to see him in LA. @Jman. Some stuff is not broadcast. It doesnt take insider information to know that James pearce is not a lion.
Bodytype and style: they just jettisoned james houston, exact opposite of what they want from their DE’S.
Work ethic: missed practices intentionally. Not very coachable.
If some of what I heard is true this is a massive understatement, and I agree he would not be on our board. It had to do with a confrontation with a coach and that stuff was out before the draft order was even established so it was not a team leaking rumours.
One reason i am interested in the type of defender we take is i think based off observation our LB’s are gonna be the vocal point of the defense like the corners were under AG.
oh and guns lol
