Jameson Williams 5th year

That’s absurd! Jamo has done everything they’ve asked of him, on the field.
Sure, he has some growing up to do. He reminds me of me, at his age… except he’s a hell of a lot more athletic, of course.
He’s next in line for an extension, near as I can figure.

Have always felt Jamo would be the guy that had to be let go because of all of the other large contracts. You literally HAVE TO make a tough decision on a player at some point when you get your overall team talent to our current level.

Here’s the thing … the other players seem to love this dude. (unless I’m reading them wrong). And he sure as hell opens up the field for the rest of the offense to do it’s thing.

I think he gets a decent extension offer from us, if he keeps his shit together.

Kerby branch jamo Hutch Gibbs LaPorta and Campbell.

Not going to be able to keep all of them so take your pick who leaves

To pay out big-time contracts they are going to have to recycle other positions and not pay big.

For sure that means they will be drafting to replace Decker and Rags.

Good problems to have but dynasties are kept by draft and developed and not overpaying

They’ll pick it up.

Another team will then pay him an exorbitant amount of money to sign with them the year after.

Something is going to have to give. They can’t give all these guys top of the market value contracts, the next really big decision will be Jamo vs. Kerby Joseph. They already have the franchise contracts to Amon-Ra and soon Branch so I just don’t think it’s feasible to keep both Jamo and Joseph. They should be getting plenty of comp picks in the coming years from departed coaches and players so some favorite players are going to have to be let go and then get replenished with young cheap talent which is what this roster is almost entirely built on.

With that said, they will surely pick up the 5th year but I don’t think Jamo will be here past that tbh.

The core guys are Goff, Sewell, Ragnow, St. Brown, Hutch, McNeil and Branch. Everybody else is expendable IMO, even the running backs, Jamo, Joseph, even LaPorta probably. Hard decisions but there’s going to be at least a few guys we hate seeing leave leaving. Such is life of a Superbowl contender that drafts extremely well.

Jamo is basically Titus Young. Makes a ton of mistakes, teammates don’t hang with him because he’s bad luck and makes some plays only he can make. He should have been arrested for carrying a concealed weapon that wasn’t his, wasn’t registered to him and was covered up. He took an illegal supplement and violated sport betting agreement. He gets tons of personal fouls and is generally immature, and has had every opportunity to grow up. He’s a high risk, high reward player and would generally be considered a locker room cancer. Is his speed worth the trouble?

All that being said, the Lions will likely pick up his 5th year option, unless he gets another suspension.

By the time everyone here extension kicks some of the old guard contracts will start falling off.

The only player I think has chance to shake free is Jamo. The rest of those guys don’t play positions that break salary caps outside of Hutch

Uh, yea, no not even close to accurate.

Maybe if you weren’t wearingvyour stocking so low maybe you would have actually seen the other thread.

I think the one year he’s talking about is picking the 5th year option. Before you try along term deal

It is all factual correct

Another dumbass 15 yarder against the Bears

Listen I am not sure how you walk away from him and his talent plus Goff is finally on the same page with him so would seem dumb to cut bait.

But he is kind of the little brother or cousin that you love and he loves you but he is kind of an idiot and always seemingly screwing up but not big time so that it feels like he is always just getting unlucky. He will be the first to jump in on a fight and will help bury the body. But you are hesitant to go in business with him because again always some shit surrounding him

Wouldn’t his representatives advise him to wait?

There shit takes…and then there is this.

Yeah, you’d think so. Something he’ll have to weigh. The comfort of security now with a team/teammates/coaches/role/city he knows vs the chance of even more money later. Sometimes they choose to cash in early, like Nico last year (who looks like an utter bargain). Devonta Smith and Waddle too.

It is factually correct he is Titus Young?
No, not even close.

You can’t say that. These statements are not factually correct. He has 2 personal fouls in his entire career focused on one player who intentionally tried to harm him going out of bounds within the last month and then targeted him again going out of bounds yesterday.

The whole Titus Young comparison is literally the dumbest take possible. Look Jamo has done some dumb things, but it has more to do with being immature than being a delusional headcase. I mean Titus thought he was better than a prime Calvin Johnson at one point…goodbye,…the end. Not to mention Titus couldn’t hold Jamo’s jock strap in terms of actual talent, but whatever people want to believe i guess.
