I would need hick training first.
Thats literally what i meant. Went the other way ![]()
I know people are talking about steep price and it is but the clock is ticking on Caleb Williams rookie deal and the Bears are really good, a legit contender right now IMO, so I think it’s a good trade to fuel their SB window which is right now and for the next few years, plus Simmons is locked up for a while. I know these trades don’t always work out for the buyer but I think this is big time for the Bears unfortunately.
Oh i agree it makes sense to make this move to maximize their window with Calebs rookie contract.
but if it backfires…. oh boy.
There used to be this country music festival in Michigan called Faster Horses.
Literally at the Michigan International Speedway
Trailer Park Olympics
Even the drinking fountains had Busch Lite instead of water
It’s definitely a risk but I think a guy like Simmons who is consistently very good every year and pretty durable to my recollection is pretty low level risk. The biggest question is his age but elite DT’s generally age pretty well so he should be pretty good throughout the contract. I know I’d be excited if I was a Bears fan.
Big time for 2026 fine…but not moving foward…
Fans around here are bitching constantly about the 2024 draft and all the whiffs. Well the Bears have zero premium picks in the next two drafts. They don’t have the young core that we do, and now will go 2 years without a 1st rounder. It’s very short sided. It’s one thing signing Simmons to a massive deal because Caleb is on a rookie contract, but trading away future 1sts is counter productive considering you need to hit a on a lot of draft picks to compensate for the eventual Caleb contract.
Hey Bro Code… if you wanna blame me and @CuriousHusker so the wifey doesn’t know about your Fungal Infection web searches we got you broski ![]()
They gave up that for a 30 year old DT? Dude gets one injury and it’s a wrap.
I knew if I played the long game, it would pan out eventually!
always does!
Yea an all in move before paying Caleb and Odunze. Aint gonna lie for this season id be happy as a Bears fan…but if you dont win a SB this year you may be regretting this move.
True, but if it pans out it is the equavialent to them fixing the OL last year and what that did for the Offense. This is a fix all for their defense IMO.
A true game wrecker. Chris Jones type impact and can take over games.
Mike Valenti will be rubbing one off for this move the Bears made!
■■■■!!! thats what a team does to show that they’re serious about making a Super Bowl run. ■■■■
Ohhh man the Bears are so stupid, man how stupid can they be, so stupid losers
if @Lionpile allows it. I believe Valenti also owes him a reach around… right of first refusal or something along those lines?
Remember when they traded Chase Claypool for a 2nd?
good times
