Ppl are looking at the picks. Obviously, its a rich trade, but if you really think you’re a player or 2 away from winning it all, then ■■■■ them picks. Clearly they think they can win it all. If they win the Super Bowl, do you think the fans will really care about those picks? hell no. Theres way more 1st round busts than all pros in any given year.
You damn right he does
Actually, about 50%, or 16 first round picks, are considered busts annually. However, there are approximately 30 all pros selected every year.
And what if they don’t?
Simmons makes them better, for sure, but overall we’re talking about going from a 10% chance of a Super Bowl to a 12% chance (according to Vegas). That’s why the juice of trades like these is rarely worth the squeeze.
No way thats true. By bust i mean in comparison to an all pro. I’m calling a 10 year backup a bust in this case.
There is only one way this trade works out and thats with a 2026 or 2027 SB win. And if you are of the belief that trades make logical sense when they happen vs being results oriented (like me), then this is just dumb. There’s no scenario that adding 1 player to a football team moves the needle enough to warrant giving up this much. If this is the NBA, then sure.
Bears are going to be like $40 million over the cap next year… Will be interesting how they move forward with some of their contracts

wow that reminds me of when I had genital herpes and treated it with compound W.
We finally agree on something Sheepish!
I encouraged @JD9 to do the same
Didn’t know you all knew @LineBusy sister also…
FWIW…the piece im suggesting we likely add involves a 3rd round pick at MOST. I had no idea this was the trade compensation when I said this ![]()
Caleb’s gonna be expensive but the first couple years of his contract won’t be is my guess.
How do guys like Saleh keep getting head coaching jobs?
While I would agree, that is a lot of money now.
The Bears are already in cap hell next year and will need to spend $26 million on him alone. After 2027, there is a potential out with less guaranteed money but if you don’t move on or restructure, you move up to $30 million while also trying to retain Caleb. Without severe financial repercussions, it is essentially this season or not for them. Plus you gave up two first rounders and a fourth rounder.
I want them to beat the Packers and such obviously, but if this doesn’t work out, they aren’t going to be in the greatest of shape.
That is a lot of compensation. I’d say the odds of this working out are not very good… Which makes me very happy.
Great haul for the Titans. They need a massive rebuild and Simmons wasn’t gonna be part of the future.
If only the Lions would have been willing to trade Barry and Megatron when they got close to 30 and wanted out. Instead they retired and we got ■■■■ all.
Everyone bought french tickler condoms hell I had them BUILT IN!

How do guys like Saleh
Handsome MF’r, I’ll say that

Simmons is better against the run but I still found this interesting.
