Trying to win now, which I can appreciate on some level. Definitely a big gamble, though. Hope it doesn’t pan out for them :joy:

Good and the strawberries being frozen is a must.

Frozen Strawberries- This gives the daiquiri maximum strawberry flavor and requires less ice. It also gives an incredible creaminess.
Fresh Ripe Strawberries – Adding fresh strawberries lends a burst of strawberry flavor that only fresh strawberries can give and helps make blending easier. Make sure your strawberries are ripe and sweet.
Fresh Lime Juice – Adds tartness and amps up the strawberry flavor.
White Rum- T his is just the right thing to do! Yes. Yes, it is.
Powdered Sugar- You NEED to add this. Don’t skip it, kay. It brings out ALL the flavors and makes this drink downright addictive.
Ice- Finishes it off with the perfect frosty texture!

Hey, we’re not playing, “What’s My Line”, here…My drink as described will be just fine. And I’ve found you meet the nicest people when drinking daiquiri’s too.

First Team All Pro in 2025 with a career high 11 sacks. Has 4 so far this year.

Doesn’t appear to be in decline … yet.

How much better is our defense with a healthy McNeil

This makes the Bears better, no doubt there. Are they a player or two away? No idea. Hope their team doesn’t make a long playoff run/SB and they’re stuck with no top picks to replenish the cupboards.

Old Tarantino meme, but as true today as it was 30 years ago

It’s exactly this. The trade makes the Bears better, Simmons is a beast and a nasty force in the middle. That’s first and foremost.

Long term though, the Bears are in some serious cap trouble and have the inevitable bank breaking contract coming up for Caleb. There will be no hometown discount there either, it will be a max contract. The best way to offset high contracts is cheaper draft pick talent. Trading away two of those cheaper down the road options is going to put even more strain on them.

This is not too dissimilar to the Packers Parsons trade as has been mentioned. Both in terms of compensation but also how it affects the team long term. Parsons is a high end talent, but that contract combined with Love put the Packers in some cap space hell. The reason they’ve had to trade to get a guy like Parsons is because the draft picks they’ve made haven’t panned out.

It will be interesting to see how this works out long term but it’s a bold move for a great player, and came at a pretty penny.

Quinnen Williams certainly didnt move the needle for Dallas last year at the deadline. Not in wins or improving a pretty bad defense. That was a similar trade with the Cowboys giving up a 2026 2nd and 2027 1st.
