Exempt list players don’t count against 53.
But Goodell also gets to decide when he comes off the list, not the Packers.

I believe Schefter speculated that Jacobs could get 6 games, comparing Jacobs to other players with similar issues.
That would have Jacobs missing the following games: Vikings, Jets, Falcons, Bucs, Bears and Cowboys.
Jacobs would then be available for… you guessed it. The Lions. If Jacobs got 8 games, he would miss Detroit and Carolina.
For the record, Micah Parsons has said the earlier he would be back is against the Cowboys. Meaning Green Bay is going to be awful thin on both offense and defense until they get both Jacobs and Parsons back.

That’s actually the Ray Rice video.
The police have a surveillance video of Jacobs shoving his woman to the floor in a garage, but they also reduced the charges after viewing it.
He is certainly a POS for that… but it may not be comparable to the Ray Rice knockout.
To be clear… I am all for a year long suspension for any player known to assault a woman… even if a punch wasn’t thrown.

I was watching Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight ( RIP Tim Curry), stalking Chaka Khan ( don’t ask) and crushing drives into traffic ( Hey, maybe don’t put the teebox on the border of and parallel to major artery road 28th St knowing people have a wicked pissah of a slice, City of Gr Parks Dept, eh?) when I was 17 in 1984….among other things..

Wisconsin court records viewed by The California Post on Friday show Jacobs’ initial appearance proceedings that were slated for Nov. 17 are now set to go down on Sept. 10.
No reason was given for the rearrangement — messages seeking comment from the Brown County District Attorney’s Office as well as reps for Jacobs were not returned.
