First Harbaugh flirting with the NFL (not to mention his own issues with temper tantrums) and now this?
Get a grip, UM. You’re a disgrace right now.

I love Howard, but that’s the kind of stuff that gets you fired. Whether he stays on or not Michigan will have to discipline him for this.
…but no this does not make the university a disgrace.
What a great leader of young men …
Not the university, but the sports programs and their coaches have been leaving a lot to be desired.
Howard by his actions makes at least the men’s program disgraceful.
Harbaugh interviewing for a job with the Vikings and Howard slapping at an assistant isn’t even in the same discussion. I get what you’re trying to do here, but come on now.
Suspended for rest of year at least, maybe fired.
Needs to control his temper.
Agree, and it’s a shame. The verbal back and forth…whatever. The slap crossed a line. It’s completely out of character for Howard and it could cost him his dream job. We’ll see how Manuel responds.
Suspension for the season is where I would go with it, as well as a zero tolerance for any future altercations.
It’s not out of character for him. Dude has been trending this way all year including with bizarre comments after the Michigan State game.
What comments Nate?
It’s not out of character for him.
Do you have other videos of him slapping a coach? “Trending”? That’s leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

This year after Michigan State …
Last season a confrontation with Turgeon …
Another …

Michigan's head coach had a 'brain fart' in the second half.
Do we really want to take this to coaching confrontations? There are a lot of videos out there that can be posted in this thread. There is a mountain of difference between coaching altercations and slapping a coach. I’m not about blurring those lines.

Jesus dude. I didn’t say he previously bitch slapped an opposing coach, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it ever before in sports, let alone from Howard.
My point is he seems to be trending with his frustration this season and last, and attacking another coach didn’t come out of the blue. It’s not exactly a hot take.

I said this incident of him slapping a coach is out of character for him.
I don’t care if Howard or anyone else is an emotional coach. Tom Izzo’s outburst are just fine with me. Slapping someone? No. I would not be stunned if he’s fired for it, but I think a suspension for the season with loss of pay (I don’t know the rules on fines) seems fair to me for a first time violation.

As a Michigan fan i lost respect for Howard. He’s a good coach n recruiter but he needs to be suspended for the rest of the year, and there will be player suspensions I bet. Some Michigan players were really throwing some bombs. This basketball season has been horrible from start to finish. No place in the game for that immature behavior. And I’m not saying Wisconsin is innocent. Suspensions will be on both teams.
But did anybody die?
