I just listen to Dan. He says that Kirby, and, Branch are both doing well.
Kirby is taking care of some personal business.
Until I hear different from Dan, that’s what’s going on.

It’s my opinion, absolutely. I’ve got no contacts, I’m just weighing what the Lions have said, what we’ve seen and how things have been handled. I wish I was plugged in.

I have heard nothing. But Kirby should be a cautionary tale to all FB players about why you sign extensions as soon as you can. Glad for him that he got his bag.

He only gets the portion of the bag until he parts ways with the club, though. One season.
My guess is that he’d be offered a medical buy out, if he can’t play?
Naw, he gets all his fully guaranteed money, $24 million at the least. If he really can’t play anymore, at least he won the lottery right on time. Not sure of the breakdown of what he got and when, but that’s the minimum.

dude’s knee is still jacked -he’s done.
Knee injuries can be fickle and difficult. Kirby has some serious knee issues and I doubt he has a long NFL career. He maybe done but the hope is that he can contribute and be a factor for a few more years. That’s still possible and It doesn’t appear the Lions have completely given up on him yet.

We know his knee is messed up but strange that he’s been away from the team for several weeks. I think DC said it was a personal matter. No clue. But he hasn’t been with the Lions or in meetings for several weeks.

I know he was doing some private treatments in hopes to get his knee healthy.

I’m basically assuming he and Branch are toast.
But Branch is more likely to actually see the field at this point.

Kerby’s injury makes no sense to me.
We’ve seen players who’ve suffered catastrophic knee injuries and tear Achilles hit the field again before him.
No surgery and he’s just not out there with no reports as when he’s coming back.
Even the twitter doctors that said his career might be shortened but that he should be out there by now

Same thing as Gurley. Might play some football but by in large he’s done. He’s been rehabilitating for almost a year now. Gurley was able to manage his knee for anouther couple season but he was hardly the player he was previously.
It sucks…but it’s hard to imagine the issues are going to just disappear at this point.
