It’s OK, I can dislike him enough for two.
Wasn’t he also the coach that took them from 13-4 to 7-10 the year before?
Well yeah, but they lost their QB and saw out the season with Nick Mullens and other scrubs.
Anyway, it’s not coach of the last two years, it’s coach of the year.
So your basically saying he took a 13-4 team to a 13-4 team. Give him a participation trophy.
Just another reason I hate the Vikings more than any other team. Even more hate for them then Dallas or Green Bay.
Drives me batty that they have no talent yet they have the same record as us!!!
Heck, maybe KOC does deserve it.
Tweets floating around X right now about Santa tearing an ACL when he landed in Detroit, but KOC is the favorite. pshaw
It should reward the coach who achieved the height of excellence, not just who exceeded preseason expectations. Otherwise call it the “never saw that coming” award.
And Darnold isn’t just a run-of-the-mill backup, he’s a former 3 overall pick, now rounding into form, as some QB’s do.
In fact they signed him to possibly BE the starter originally, if JJ wasn’t ready as a rookie.
But that’s the thing. Many predicted the Lions to be one of the better teams in the NFL. Some had them in the Super Bowl. I certainly predicted 13-4 and Super Bowl…they are at 13-2
So you think it should be Andy Reid then?
They signed Darnold to a $10 million contract. That says everything about how good he was expected to be.
It should be Reid or Campbell (if the Lions finish ahead of Minnesota). I still think the Chiefs lose another game. Also, it can be just as much pressure to fulfill preseason expectations as to exceed them.
All this KOC stuff from some Lions fans is just the football version of virtue signaling. “I’m so grownup that I root for other teams coaches!”
I don’t think it’s virtue signaling, but it sure as hell is taking Dan’s accomplishment this year for granted. Of the 31 other teams out there, exactly zero of them could do what we’ve done with the setbacks we’ve faced.
Washington goes from 4-13 to 10-5 with a rookie qb and first year coach. Also just beat the Eagles to help the Lions.

10-5 is pretty good, only 3 more loses than 13-2.
Haha well played… But the Vikes have talent. Lots of weapons.
Dan Quinn deserves more credit than he’s getting IMO
I’m also biased cause he just helped the Lions
Just give it to Andy Ried…2 super bowls in a row and just keep winning.

Heath Shuler and Joey Harrington says hello and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas.
I did say “some”, didn’t I?
Darnold’s talent is obvious. He’s not just some JAG being coached up.
I still don’t get it. Campbell takes the Lions to their best record ever. Tops in the NFC, and had an 11 game win streak. He’s the most inspirational dude I’ve ever seen, and fans from around the league love the guy.
Then some Lions fans - “KOC (1-3 vs Campbell) should be COTY!”
