The guy did whatever was asked of him. He wasnât sitting on the shelf with various injuries he was competing. Not the best player but he was fine depth and played hard. Didnt deserve the hate from fans.
yep I had no problem with him really. and yes heâd get burned but he also made some good plays. so an âaverageâ nfl player and he was getting paid as such.
We likely wont find someone as good to be our 6th cb. He was decent. Likely downgrade coming. We now have to replace at least davis, moseley and vildor on the roster. Well Davis is replaced already but it adds another hole.
The most underappreciated Lion I can think of in recent memory. He obviously was limited in his ability, which was exposed when asked to do too much, but heâs a top-53 player for a lot of teams. With our reliance on LBs over DBs this year on ST, and with the current depth chart, weâre probably looking for Safety prospects in the draft and to bring Dorsey back for that last CB spot.
I know it is very fashionable to not hate Vildor on account of him being a âserviceable playerâ who mostly got into the game under unfortunate circumstances, but guysâŚ
Weâre not rational humans, weâre Lions fans
And he had a face-doink.
The facebook lions fiends are gonna be mixed review on this one
Blaming Holmes for not doing anything but rejoicing because they remember the playoff doink
Itâs Rakestrawâs time to step up. He had his apprentice year.
Hallelujah praise the lord.
Down there with Nevin Lawson as the worst corner to wear a Lions jersey. Iâll never understand the trendy fandom he enjoyed, not good enough is not good enough.
Never judge a person for their best day or their worst day, same applies to football. Barnes whiffed huge on Dak but we welcomed him back. I would have liked to have had Vildor back and would actually welcome Reynolds back right now with the right deal.
Thought Vildor actually played some decent football last year, actually. Wish him the best in Tampa.
Moseley was a hole. An addition by subtraction roster move.
Moseley has only played 4 snaps in 3 years. Not worth the paper of the contract.
Vildore was fin enough on basic plays (actually in normal situations he was our top 3 CB)
However on key downs and big plays he was HORRIBLE. The definition of Boom or Bust player.
Hus press coverage numbers werenât bad, they were posted at one time but I did a quick search and couldnât find them.
Vildor wasnât the best but was better then gave credit for, one thing he was is Gritty, the dude had grit. He was just doomed here with alot of fans for the face donk. But his #s were way better then fans made out and he play with grit.
People also need remember Vildor played before Rakes in almost every situation.
Low bar beating out a 2nd round injured rookie.
But i agree his numbers were good for the most part. But it was just frustrating.
Dude would make great plays on 1st and 2nd down. But folded on 3rd down and the redzone.
Like he was sticky so on short plays they didnt even target him.
But on plays were the WR had to make a double move, or extended the drive. He got burned.
Live by aggression die by aggression
Depends on how you look at that.
First itâs said we have smart and good coaching staff
Then said Vildor is terrible and should even be on the team.
Now itâs was said weâre fine we have Rakes for a starter.
How can Vildor be so bad and not be on the team yet as you said low bar him playing before the rookie yet all of a sudden Rakes is considered a starter.
That is all over the place imo
Goddamn, I havenât seen such a tonguebath since the days of Avion Cason
Cmon Vildor
Do for us what Iffy couldnât do
