LB Troy Anderson--not going to be there at No. 66 overall

Don’t know anything about this kid, but man he’s fun to watch!

Looks like a Taysom Hill Upgrade.

If I were the NFL team that drafted him at LB I’d also have some red zone packages with him at QB.

I’ll always be skeptical of small school athletes. For the same reason I’m still not a believer in Trey Lance. It’s doubtful he makes plays like that against top tier schools.

Maybe someone drafts him early and he proves me wrong, but give me an SEC LB over this dude all day long.

I guess if we are going to reach for a LB I’d rather it be a kid with a 10 RAS than Tavai and his whopping 4 RAS

I am also a little skeptical about small school guys, but there are a few things this guy jas shown that eliminate that concern for me.

#1 - he had a really strong showing all week at the Senior Bowl against top competition

#2 - the freakish athleticism…. combined with excellent … practically ideal … size for NFL LB.

#3 - he truly dominated the level of competition… and he did so at 3 different positions. This shows he would have likely had good production against tougher competition.

#4 - playing multiple positions well shows good football intelligence. He also was on Dean’s list often and was valedictorian in high school.

This is the part I like the most. He’s able to see the game thru the QB and RBs eyes. He’s definitely an upside play, but I think the potential payoff is worth the risk. I’m just not sure I’d do it at 34. I’d target our next pick, even if it means a slight trade up to make sure we get him.

I fixed that for ya

Totally agree. A lot of people think this Kupp guy is good but I don’t think his YAC skills will translate against the big dogs.

This really is remarkable to see.

His partner at Wyoming who was taken last year by the Bengals is Logan Wilson. He had 100 tackles, 57 solo and 4 int’s as well as 4 passes defended, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble. His RAS was an 8.84, so not bad either. I’m totally with you on Trey Lance and have been since Day 1. Had the 49ers stood pat they could have had Parsons at 12 last year, possible enough help to go to the SB. I understand your concerns, but I have to say if he’s there and we haven’t already addressed the LB position, I’m all in.

Wasn’t Wilson taken in Burrow’s draft class?

Yes, sorry. 2020 put the point remains. BTW, in the post season last year he had 39 tackles and an int.

Andersen also didn’t play for Wyoming… so I think Muma is the dude occupying your thoughts on this one…. but I can see how yow ya made the connection with these big athletic mountain men…
