If Lefluer had been better with game management Caleb wouldn’t have had a chance to make a come back.
That’s not gonna go over well with the fans. Packers lost 5 in a row to end the season and two of those losses were epic choke jobs to the Bears. I agree it’s much easier to get worse but that’s going to be some interesting negotiations.
Yeah, how do they give him at least some job security and still hold him accountable?
A two-year deal kinda thing? A bit unusual for a head coach, I think, but that would make some sense.
Question is if MLF wants that, he wants a longer contract with high end money
I think its fine to talk about it, cause he is a good HC and if a deal can get done, do it, but MLF is gonna have to compromise on the years
If either side cant agree, he will be shown the door
Yea but MLF also knows he can probably pick his next team if the Packers go a different direction. I’d be shocked if he takes a “lesser” contract from GB.
If his first name was Mike, would it be appropriate to call him MILF?

thats what im saying
I think that will be the impasse, Policy will want LeFleur on a shorter and prolly slightly cheaper contract, MLF wants a long term deal with high-end payment
its what likely will cause both sides to fall apart unless i think MLF concedes on it
He hit DJ Moore in the face mask 25 yards down the left sideline to win the game ![]()
But how many misfires does he have in an average game that puts the Bears in awful situations? They’ve managed to pull it out, mostly with fairy dust, but that kind of magic tends to evaporate eventually.
Caleb can make some outstanding throws. But he misses a lot too. Let’s face it, the Bears have been damn lucky this year. I believe that was their seventh come from behind fourth-quarter victory? How sustainable is that? I think Cinderella gets her shoe back next week and then let’s see how Caleb does against a first play schedule.

Sounds like Stafford’s early career here

We’ve been there ourselves with Stafford and Caldwell, remember 8 comeback wins in one season? He turned out pretty damn good… Winning a SB and MVP eventually ![]()
I don’t recall Stafford missing receivers by five and ten yards on a regular basis.
You’re right… He’d fire missiles for no reason and play like trash for half the game, throwing picks and fumbling… But I’ll be damned if he didn’t always give us a chance in the end. Kinda like Saturday, he played like ass through the 2nd and 3rd quarter, then pulled it out in the 4th
Beautiful, you can practically see his soul fleeing his body in that moment of utter despair.
Hafley is the one who needs to be fired. But somehow some franchises want to interview him as their HC. Do they believe he will bring Parsons with him?
The Green Bay defense is injured to hell. No Parsons, no Wyatt, they’ve been struggling for weeks due to that. LaFleur, instead of protecting his defense, goes ultra conservative on offensive playcalling. Here is the drive summary for the Packers the first half.
11 plays, 85 yards TD TOP 4:56
12 plays, 87 yards TD TOP 5:37
10 plays, 32 yards TD TOP 3:19
7 plays, 27 yards, missed FG TOP 0:32 to end half
21-3 game
Now let’s look at that second half offense.
5 plays, -2 yards Punt TOP 1:07
5 plays, 8 yards, Punt TOP 1:39
6 plays, 23 yards Punt TOP 2:36
5 plays, 0 yards Punt TOP 0:51
After this string of coaching malpractice, the game is now 21-16. Now, watch the offense again here.
9 plays, 64 yards TD TOP 3:32
13 plays, 48 yards, Missed FG TOP 1:27
15 plays, 45 yards, end of game TOP 1:43
So you know your defense is hurt, and your offense is scoring at will. What do you do at halftime? Keep in mind, the last time you played this team with a big lead, your supposed fiercest rival, you backed off the offense and watched them come all the way back, tie the game after you blow an onside kick and then lose in OT. Well, if you are Matt LaFleur and armed with all of this data, you still go ultra conservative. Better still, now that you completely nerfed your offense, your already decimated defense is now on the field the ENTIRE SECOND HALF. Those poor dudes were gassed as hell. What happens when a defense gets gassed? How do I know I am right?
Chicago scoring by quarter. 3,0,3, 25. Anyone else see the anomoly here?
I would take Hafley over LaFleur anyday. GB’s defense was terrible until they got Hafley (Joe Barry), they were much better in 2024, then they got Parsons this year to put it over the top. Just listen to Green Bay fans. They do not want to lose Hafley to a HC job. They are fine with losing LaFleur as HC.
Wyatt was a huge loss especially when they traded Clark away in the Parson deal. Didn’t help that Cooper got hurt in this game as well.
He absolutely was. Early in the year before the real injuries, take a look at the Dallas Cowboys tie. Packer defense had been playing extremely well up to this game. Then gives up 40. Dallas Offense is good, but what happened here was Wyatt got hurt in the game, and he is their best run defender. Once he went out, Dallas offense started rolling.
I knew when they lost Wyatt again, they were in big trouble. They went into the playoffs having lost their best pass rusher and best run defender. Their defense is why I picked the Bears to win the game. Also, watching how LaFleur coaches, even when Ben Johnson completely gaffed his way through the first half and the game was 21-3 I said it in the game threat that this was not over. If any team can blow this lead, it was the Packers, because they already had done it.
Tom Grossi made a comment that the saddest thing about this loss, was that it wasn’t even that surprising. That’s damning, and it speaks to how predictable LaFleur is with his coaching. They knew what was happening, as it was happening, because they’ve seen it happen less than 3 weeks ago.
I guess if you’re comfortable putting Stafford and Caleb Williams in the same category as far as arm talent, go for it. It’s not even close.
But he did JUST THAT with a game winning TD pass to DJ Moore twice in the last three weeks
