For all the shit I give him, if he holds up and turns out, it would be hudge for this team.
I hope he can stay healthy through camp. Definitely wasn’t expecting that news
Seriously. If he’s even serviceable it would be huge for our 3tech rotation.
Believe it when I see it. Camp will prove that…
Why can’t the Lions have good things happen to them? Maybe Da Problem, Rodrigo, and Jacobs are just the tip of that iceberg?
In other news, Sterling Thomas repping with the 2nd team on D and as a 1st team gunner? Maybe we should get used to good things happening to the BNL.
The last time he was cleared for practice he lasted about a day if I recall.
If the rumors are true that he really doesn’t want to do the work then we will know soon enough.
I’d love to see the kid turn the corner this year but my hopes are low.
I’ll be shocked if he makes it through camp.
I wish him nothing but the best. I certainly don’t blame him for anything. Injuries suck.
Just, realistically, with the injuries he’s sustained and time its cost him away from football, I don’t see it happening.
I would very much like to be wrong, for his sake.
I just read he had 19 predicted sacks today, now keep in mind he was facing pylons and a weighted sled, but he owned those â– â– â– â– â– â– â– !
The sled had no answer for his 1st step, according to reports I just made up right now.
That damn sled will get you in the end though. It always did. Our line coach made sure of that.
It would be awesome if he somehow showed up as a first or even second string player.
But, if he isn’t inspired to want to play for a team as hyped as Detroit is right now, he simply has no desire to play. (if that report is legit)
But that aside, he hasn’t played meaningful football since his junior year in college. He’s had injuries since he was drafted, and who is he going to beat out?
I’d sure like to see him come out and be awesome, but I think it’s a long shot.
All I want out of Levi is to be part of the rotation. Expect nothing more at this stage.
A productive member of the rotation. We don’t need a 3tech version of Benito Jones.
If the dude could somehow stay healthy and play 10-15 snaps per game, that would be a huge boost to the interior D-line. It’s a long ass season, depth is so important.
If he gets hurt again in camp, sign Suh asap.
I b’lieve he got injured their first day - first PLAY - in pads, which is to say he was a-okay to this point last year too.
I haven’t heard the rumors that he doesn’t want to do the work. Well, he has $millions in incentives now to do all the work he can do to healthy. Given how little he’s played in the last 5 years it’ll take a loooong minute before he can be a serious contributor, if that moment ever comes. But if he can’t stay healthy enough even to give himself that chance, his first contract will be his last; he and his agent know that.
It’s hard to be optimistic about his chances, but, yeah, we’re sayin’ there’s a chance!
yeah he ain’t going to make it through camp…be damn nice if he did and actually started 8 games…
2 days in and he’s still not injured.
Glad he’s BACK in action. As others have said, my expectations are low but hoping I’m surprised
Too me it says a lot that he is still here - he has only played in 1 season out of the last three. By all counts he could not even sit in a chair the year he did play because he was in so much pain. Finally gets surgery and has over a year recovery. Most guys would have quit. Not only did he stick it out but he looks really happy to be ready to play. He may reinjure his back or just never amount to much but you have to admire his don’t quit attitude. If his back holds up I think we may have another DC type player.
Im pulling for the guy. It will take a lot of mental fortitude to make it back and be a contributor at any level. If he does make it back nobody will have the right to question his work ethic anymore.
Plus the dude looks like an absolute beast. He looks scary to line up against.
Any one else actually watch the video of “best he’s looked since…” Damn if that’s the best he’s moved, it won’t be long before he’s injured again
