Just curious…. If you Google “Will Kelvin Shep run a 3-4 in Detroit- the AI response is many 3-4 looks and concepts are expected out of the D despite potentially maintaining a 4-3 base..?

Until proven otherwise I’m going to assume that much of Shep’s philosophy will come from AG so I expect that they will move Hutch wherever based off of the matchup. They have a vulnerable guard we may see him as a 3T a good bit. I expect that we’ll see Hutch all over.
it does sound like Shep’s blitz packages are more involved then AG’s. A lot of beat writers have almost described them like an option route. The rushers might have a twist or stunt but then have optionality to vary their rush plan in tandem. Sounds interesting.
I’m also hopeful that with Shep being a LBer and LBer coach we deploy more shit your pants defensive alignments. Like I want Hutch and Barnes doing the Zimmer mug the A Gaps type of stuff. Our offense can overcome a quick score mistake. HUNT!!!

Glad we are using this to stash some players again and let them heal.
Frazier was a BPA pick at the time. We have a lot of talent IOL even with veterans Jones, Muti, Niese, etc
Paschal can be a rotational body when he gets healthy later.
Wingo was neccessary, no McNeil then we lose Levi, paschal out, then hustle guy Hassanein. We defintiely needed him for some inside juice and to eat some edge setting snaps.
I like O’connor to eat some of those snaps as well. But it’s not certain he will be 53 or V-Squad?
Cooper is another option in this role as well. I’m glad we keeping him over Bromart.

Everywhere else on the 53 has a pretty solid and healthy 2 deep.
Every team has a guy like Meeks who the fan base thinks is amazing and is gonna get scooped by everyone who needs a WR. Lions let him go because he just isn’t that good. If Lovett made it over him, that should tell you something.
30 Fan bases are upset at losing a preseason WR who showed out. I expect him to get back to the practice squad. I’m sure there are 10+ better who are more appealing who gets cut.
