I thought for sure Kennelly would make it. I actually think he’s probably being punished for being a local kid growing up a Lions fan. We knew we could put pass him through waivers and get him to come back.

I thought Meeks was a near certainty after the Dolphins game. I also thought Cooper would make it. Especially if Lynn didn’t.

I was rooting for him and from all indications thought he did enough to earn a spot. Especially now that I see we have no backup Safety on the roster of 50

I agree they got a plan…. I also think it’s important to remember when Holmes was talking about how much he liked the defensive end group a few months ago. That was clearly pure GM talk and moves are coming

Well Hassanein’s injury could have something to do with that. Paschal’s too. And Levi’s, hell, he lined up plenty at end as well.

I could see the Lions going after DE C. Ferrell who was just cut by the Commanders. 28 I think and a solid run defender who has poor sack numbers . Could be a solid get here at a position of need?

Right but he’s a Sam…. Not an edge. although on 3rd downs could rush off the edge

Ferrell makes sense since he can set an edge and is pretty physical in the run game

Edge is extremely thin and this is assuming Davenport stays healthy which we all know isn’t happening. I’m sure Brad has a plan but I have no idea based on the roster we have now what the actual plan is. Safety too, depth is lacking.
