This years draft is so deep at rb i wanted one when the value was stupid goood.
I want a RB that is blazing fast that can return kickoffs.

Kalif is faster than at least three of them, and maybe all four.
Once Johnny Mo returned I figured Reynolds would too. He was Netflix’s champion on Hard Knocks.
He hasn’t shown it yet:

Lief in the 40yd: 4.34
Ran a 4.34 at his pro day:
Please no more kickoff returns especially in a playoff game.
Lief has good game speed. But he admitted that he is definitely not on the level of Gibbs (or Jamo). He is in his 30’s.

Im a little upset with this. Not that i dont like Craig, but i see the opportunity for Kalel Mullings to be special in the NFL. And well? How do we fit him Mullings on the roster now? Remember this post
Somebody like Bhayshul Tuten from Va Tech? He ran a 4.32 at the combine but you may want to check his highlights. He can take it to the house from anywhere on the field if he gets a crease.
Reynolds is not guaranteed a spot on the 53-man roster…
but he was ALWAYS coming back to compete in camp for a spot.
He has been signed to the vet minimum every year so far, and it would surprise me if he wasn’t still on a minimum deal.
Reynolds got only 96 offensive snaps… even with Monty missing nearly 4 full games.
OTOH… hoping for a specific RB as a late round draft pick is “optimistic” at best. Lions just drafted Vaki. Gibbs and Monty are locked in for the foreseeable future. Hard to imagine the Lions draft a RB at all with the resources already invested in the position. This draft class is loaded at RB… some decent RBs will likely be UDFAs even.
I see that he’s fast. But I don’t see much “make you miss in space” in his game. He runs with more power than I expected. Very nice suggestion. But, I don’t see Kick Returner in his highlights. Still looking for that RB Jason Huntley type of player. Could return KOs and Punts.
Eh…yeah… They’ll make changes to that to make it more relevant than it was last season.
