If he balls out and finishes this season with 8+ sacks I’ll be happy. I like the player he is a good dude. Just the production has been just decent for that type of money.

I haven’t read all 60 posts, but I have a couple of quick thoughts.
#1. With the Montgomery contract, I think this McNeil extension became a lot more likely in a lot of our minds
#2. He’s damn young, even though he’s the oldest he’s ever been.
#3. He’s still an ASCENDING player. Just watching a few plays from Sunday there is noticeably improved balance and, more importantly, improved hand-fighting.
#4. Terrell Williams is the real deal. If Houston can’t get playing time with a coach like him leading the group, then that’s on Houston.

With this happening I see them giving Hutch the 5th year option then paying him after next season is over. Before the 5th year option but not like they did with Swell this season and adding the 5th year on and then still extending him.
That’s what the contract says to me… He’s 24 and keeps getting better… He might be even better when he hits his prime and old man strength kicks in.

This includes all 5th year options
And just has the AAV added for Monty and Mac.
This is exactly why I want to draft Sewell’s son next year… He’s gonna be 4 years old before we ■■■■■■■ know it. Do it Brad Holmes… Maybe round 2 or so.
