Just going to be honest with how I feel…I am not fully whelmed by this. Feels like a good old boys hire to me. But if Dan says he fits I’ll roll with it.
I’m hoping we’ll be able to announce this week rather than in 2 weeks

That’s how I feel. Would have preferred Caley simply bc I’ve heard more about him as a rising star league wide but both Dan and Sean Payton seem to be fans of Morton so I’m keeping an open mind.
I would imagine this means that Morton and Jared have already displayed a good rapport which is a good starting point.

I can see Morton being the link from Ben to Tanner. If the Lions continue to have success Morton ends up getting a HC job and Tanner moves up. Assuming another team doesn’t poach him first.
I’m going to pretend that Morton is an Albino Nigerian. It’s my attempt at compensatory beans cope.

Honestly, I trust Dans opinion if this is the guy. He had him in staff for an entire season, so Dan knows exactly what’s he’s getting. Worst case, I would still be very confident in Dan calling plays, with support from Fraley/Montgomery/Engstrand if Morton just doesn’t cut it.
