That’s Williams blocking the closest guy to Montgomery on his TD run. Now, that’s a pretty good contribution…

That is actually a hold that didn’t get called …luckily. A blocker cannot have his hands on the outside of a defenders shoulder pads

Sounds like a 6th round or later pick, talking.

If you watch the play there was a never a hold. It was more of a “shove-bounce off him-shove again”. There was no time for any extended contacted or grabbing of anything. Hands and arms of both Jamo and defender were in constant motion.

Oh great
So we drafted a good run blocker at 12OA

That’s what I don’t understand about this forum. Right now the postering in support of Jameson Williams feels like the support of Patricia, honestly…

A poster highlights that the best thing our first round pick WR did is block someone downfield like it’s something that Wally Cleaver couldn’t do. Then multiple people in the forum like the comment

Yep, Jamo has had 106 snaps in his career…coming off a major knee injury…trying to break into an established top 5 offense. Forget that he’s had two plays already of over 40 yards. The fact that he has not been a consensus all pro yet screams he is a bust. Smdh at the impatience at some on this board.

Think the Rams would trade with us again?

This week is Jamos coming out party. Calling it now

It’s very simple, anyone judging Jamo at this point, good or bad has no true reference to point to to back up their reasoning.

All of the below statements are true

Jamo was the most electric WR in a deep 2022 WR class, and thought by many to be the best prospect

He was not expected to contribute much, if any in year one.

Reports about practice habits, his suspension, and slight immaturity issues are legit reasons to have some concern.

Albeit a small sample size, the drops are a concern as well.

At this point we should all be taking the wait and see approach and give a little patience these first couple weeks while he gets acclimated. If he is still struggling in week 12 then I’d start to sound the alarm a little.

Yes actually. Perfect visual representation of what happened (not that it’s hard to find the play).

And really what is scary about this, is after he released he sped up just a hair and strided a little to stick between those Panthers defenders in case he needed to block again. If he had taken off at full speed he would have beat DMo to the end zone.

Scary fast.

Sweet. 7 games played, 3 catches (1 was a TD :clap:t3:), 1 block. How long this mfer gonna need to get acclimated? LaPorta is off and running. Why does everybody make excuses for this guy? I know exactly why…you are scared. Scared that your beloved GM made a pretty massive error. Thankfully Holmes is a master at the meat and potatoes rounds, because it looks like he sucks on draft Thursday (don’t say Hutchinson that was 2 OA- an ape could’ve made that pick) Gibbs is trending in the wrong direction as well. I’m not coming for him yet though. Soon, but not yet.

I would be so pissed if we made that trade. Not that Nacua isn’t a nice player. Everyone just needs to chill. It’s coming.

was just listening to a podcast that talked about how the defense changed last week when Jamo lined up, the safeties dropped. So even without making a catch he is creating room for BJ and Goff to exploit

It also mentioned how teams were playing Gibbs tight and jamming him at the line and they didn’t expect that. But now they can create ways to exploit it
