Lions Land Hard Knocks on HBO

Are they crazy?! I think they’ll be one of the most entertaining teams.

They showed the knee cap clip of MC and then argued that they will be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

I guess we’ll get more respect when we start winning, but damn! Tired of hearing $h!t like this on ESPN.

Just another reason on why I will not ever switch to ESPN for anything. IF a game I want to watch is on there, I never get to see it because I will not support them in any way shape or form.

Nobody knows “hard knocks” better than the Lions.

Oh it’ll be great TV given how much Campbell likes hamming it up for media attention.

Probably be a distraction and detrimental to the goal of winning but it will be great TV

God I hope not.

Dolphins GM Chris Grier said the Dolphins will not pursue free agent S Tyrann Mathieu.

Mathieu opted to test the waters of free agency instead of working out a deal to stay in Kansas City. The move appears to have backfired as Mathieu has yet to find a new home nearly two weeks after the start of free agency. Mathieu could still return to the Chiefs, who now have plenty of cap space via the Tyreek Hill trade. Mathieu made plenty of big plays for Kansas City last year, totaling a trio of interceptions and fumble recoveries while also notching one sack. He was also a leader within the locker room. If a Kansas City reunion isn’t in Mathieu’s future, the Cowboys will likely be calling. Mathieu’s versatility would help cover up some of the deficiencies in Dallas’s secondary. If Jerry Jones is willing to pay up, Mathieu is an ideal for the Cowboys.

This is the type of FA signing that is starting to look more and more like a Brad Holmes type of deal. For whatever reason, the interest has been pretty lukewarm on Mathieu. We would offer a clear path to a starting job, two excellent secondary coaches in Glenn and Pleasant, and a chance to get some exposure on Hard Knocks.

Could throw him a one year deal worth 10mil to rehab his value, and do similar to what we did with Chark’s contract structure.

I personally don’t see it as very likely, but as his cost comes down we could start showing interest.

Yea, the odds are pretty low. I’d assume the Honey Badger wants to play for a super bowl contender at this point in his career. However, on a 1 year deal, I’d be all for it. 9 ints in the last 2 years. We need playmakers so bad on the defense.

No thanks. We’re already at 6m dead cap next year due to Chark and 7m in 2024 due to Chark/Harris/Okwara. Pushing the can down the road comes back to bite you eventually.

Lousy would be a repeat of last season. If we go up to 7-9 wins that shows clear progress and more hope that we have the right management and coach.

Same thing I was thinking. I haven’t had HBO since Game of Thrones ended.

Since we’re all getting HBO now, I highly recommend Succession to everyone who does pick it up. Legitimately one of my favorite shows ever made.

I pick it up every 4 years when a new season of West World comes out. Haha. Can’t believe how long it takes them to make a season.

Peacemaker was pretty good, and has one of the best intros of all time. Only one I never skipped.

And I recommend The Boys. Basic premise- Superheroes that are actual assholes, owned by a corporation that promotes them as a product to it’s shareholders and markets them like movie stars/athletes…and an underground of people wronged by their collateral damage that wants to expose (or kill) them.

I’ll haven’t seen it yet. I’ll have to check it out. HBO shows just hit different, imo. Winning Time - the show about the beginning of the Lakers dynasty is airing right now and the first few episodes have been pretty amazing.

Yeah I can’t wait to watch, though I’m one of those who waits until it’s over so I can binge if I want. I imagine that one will take a couple of days.

Peacemaker was fantastic. James Gunn and John Cena were made for each other.

Cena shocked me to be honest. He’s got legitimate acting chops. Did not see that coming.
