Actually kind of hate that he’s (and Glenn) taking interviews during the Lions run, but I get it.
I know this happens…
But I hate it. Preparing for a head coach interview the same week of the biggest Lions game in 32 years.
I’d much prefer him fully focused on whooping the Bucs.
I don’t. You want one of our coordinators, you wait until after the Super Bowl.
We need their mind on one thing and one thing only.
Yeah, I agree with that. But Dan wants his guys to do well and he doesn’t want them to potentially miss out on a job because they couldn’t interview. To a fault, Dan is a people person. I just hope it doesn’t distract too much from what they need to be doing.
This is let the crazy billionaire that I won’t work for drive up the price on the other guy
Looks like Seattle wants him too. Wouldn’t you love that @CuriousHusker
My hopes and thoughts on these meetings and get togethers…
I never forgave Brandon Staley for checking out of the Rams playoff run in 2020 for interviews/Chargers gig. Our defense was massively unprepared in the divisional round. Not saying its the same situation but with such important games coming up. It’d be nice if these things were put on back burners. But I get it.
I think 100% that Assistant Coaches should be 100% off limits until they are done with the playoffs.
As it is, you are not allowed to announce or even hire anyone the 2 weeks before the playoffs. And I might have this wrong a bit. But I know there is some rule about no news except all focus on the Super Bowl.
We are all absolutely going to look at these 9 HC interviews with our 2 Coordinators if the wheels come off this weekend.
Hate it. Let the other dysfunctional teams wallow in their ineptitude until after the Superbowl.
I think it’s wrong. His focus should be here now. Call me later if ya want, guys…I’m busy for the next 3 weeks
100%. How are the players feeling about it?
Interrupting the mojo
To be fair part of my focus is always on magic beans so …
same
You’re not coaching or playing, though.
Your mind can wander and it has no effect.
This feels like subliminal interference, and shouldn’t be allowed.
The interviews are one thing. Probably on zoom
But it’s the amount of prep time. BJ would have to spend a fair bit of time analyzing the rosters of these teams and have a detailed plan on who he would hire as coordinators. Etc. That stuff takes a lot of time and effort to prepare for
Do you market your services? I’d like to have you tell my wife that.
Let me get this straight. You want me to talk to your wife, on your behalf?
I was married for 29 years and couldn’t save the marriage.
You may want to rethink that.
Wish nfl would say no interviews or hiring during playoffs than the coordinators for playoff teams could focus only on games and not lose chances for jobs
