That seems like a good value. Now he make the opponent’s OL feel like shit.
Super stoked. He can start for alim until he is ready.
Can’t believe how cheap he was. Apparently not a lot of suitors?
Love it
Surprised that AG didn’t go after him at that price. Maybe a bit of a hometown discount for sticking by him, even though it’s still just a prove it deal.
Maybe he builds trust in his health this season and cashes in next season. That would be 3 years of a healthy back.
I knew it!
A bit surprising given the reports a couple days ago was that he was going to sign with the Commanders for quite a bit more.
Don’t think he’s an impact player whatsoever. Never understood why he was going to have such a high price tag. This is pretty much what his value is. Not a bad deal for the Lions.
Cheap. That’s good
Now waiting for Zeitler and Patrick
This is ideal. He can play his natural position - 3T - while Alim is out and build his value for a really, really good contract in 2026. He was a trooper playing out of position last year but 3T is where he belongs. Perfect solution to our current iDL injury issues.
Massive!
Now that he’s at least a couple of years removed from back surgery, I expect an increase in sacks.
I really didn’t like him playing Big End. To me, it negated his initial quickness with that much space between he and the Tackle. Being close to the Guards allows him to use his initial quickness vs Guards, who aren’t known to be as quick. That’s his strength.
And then when he blows up next year after two years of good health we get a juicy comp pick.
Precisely.
This is a total ■■■■■■■ steal IMO.
I didn’t think he’d be getting those crazy numbers everyone else did, though I admit I was thinking something along the lines of 1 year/ $7-8M. Really good value here and an excellent solution to one of our main issues.
well that wasnt expected. awesome!!
