Now you have Sutton, Okudah and Jacobs as potential starters. Clearly the Lions need another dawg in the draft… but they no longer HAVE to be so aggressive with where they pick one up at. I must say though - Branch at or around 18 now feels like we could be looking at a solid secondary.

Living in Pittsburgh I have watched him closely for a while, and is a huge part of why I wanted him in Detroit. They let Hilton go to the bengals because they had to pick one of the two and they chose Sutton and Hilton is no slouch at all.

Honestly I thought he’d be a lot more expensive, which is why I thought it was unlikely we’d sign him. This seems like a really good deal to me.
