IF Goff got hurt we are done ! we don’t have a GOOD back up that can hold his own for a few games , until Goff is cleared to return, no no, go sign any warm body that hasn’t done anything worthy in three seasons and is already 31, makes sense. and of course we don’t draft a late-round QB that has potential, or sign a FA or something…I’m not real pleased with the situation, UNLESS their plan is to cut Dobbs soon and nab somebody then that makes far more sense?
Draft a QB every single year. If not draft, immediately pick up your fav from the UDFA list. Lions did that with Altmyer this year, so I didn’t complain.

Dobbs is a solid backup. I’ve always had the viewpoint that an athletic backup is the way to go. They can win you came with their athleticism. Upgrade IMO

Almost every draft I would try and go OL, DL, DB in my top 4 picks. I also like taking a late round flyer on a QB. While most starting NFL QB’s are 1st round picks, a couple are 3rd day picks. Brees, inducted into the HoF was a 2nd rounder.
I always want a developmental QB in the system. If your 1st or 2nd string QB isn’t super athletic, I want a super athletic guy on the PS to run opposing offenses when we are going to be facing super athletic QB’s in the upcoming week.
