Lions sign OL Ben Bartch

I don’t trust Dan not to suit up Skip as long as he is in the building.

He’s not currently on the roster actually, so maybe? Though maybe I remember the past couple of offseasons he was a later signing, so I have no idea. TBD I guess.

Ha, fair. But it is unlikely to be as a LG.

Injured? mmmmm

Timing often tells the story. Seems like Kayode was waiting on a Lions offer and once we signed Bartch, Kayode knew he was done in Dtown.

Kayode had a few decent moments for us. Even started a playoff game that we won. Good luck to him.

Maybe or maybe the ole QB saying , when someone says we have so and so with so and so, witch means you have no one really, we got a bunch of guys , now just hope one can be the guy and not just another guy.

In fairness Mouse you have complained all offseason about Mahogs at left guard. Well this guy Bartch is far better than Mahogs at left guard. Both can’t stay healthy. But lets keep it real.

Some competition might be a good thing.

You may have been tongue in cheek, but I think there’s more here than people are giving credit too. Yea it makes mistakes logical sense that Scruggs ends up as depth C and OG and is active on game days - but clearly Brad likes Scruggs. I’m not saying anything more than that, but I do think they’ll at least let him battle for it.

I listened to the Holmes presser and was surprised to hear about Holmes boner for Juice.

Think I’m kidding? Listen to it

Scruggs, Bertch and Borom sounds like the level of law firm I can afford…

guess I better straighten up and fly right..

I did! I felt that way before the podcast, but it only confirmed to me that Juice will be given a fair opportunity here

Industrial litigation?

If we all can agree on one thing the interior depth is pretty deep. The tackle depth has me gripping the toilet seat, but I assume in the draft

Completely agree on all parts. I assume they’ll look to add a long term starting OT in some way, shape or form in the draft. If so, I’ll like what we did with the OL this offseason.

That’s the thing a lot of mights and ifs in all fairness.
You are not complaining you treat every signing like its the fix all. Kinda like last year, me I would like to take the might and if out of play a sign a guy without them questions. In all fairness.

I agree, I think our days of having an elite O-line are now a thing of the past. We are now in the class of Pay huge money for a LT and fill the other positions with a bunch of cheap scrubs so you can pay the skill position players. Having 4 guys compete for an OG spot is just another way of saying we don’t have one.
