9.5 sacks in his career, more than any DT on the Lions roster. And they cut Taylor yesterday to make room for him. Might have a shot to make the team. He has played in over 100 games in his career. He got hurt last year and barely played. In 2021, he had a decent season with the Chargers, over 50 tackles.
His father is actually a legend in the CFL, all time sack leader - 157 career sacks, hall of famer.

He’s Canadian, so he uses KM’s, so closer to 170-180.

He at least offers experience and competition. He’s probably not a starter, but could be a rotational guy to give some snaps to. Holmes said after the season, Buggs and Alim played far too many snaps last year.

Primarily a backup and emergency spot starter throughout his career, but he’s been reasonably productive when called upon.

Well he weighs 300 pounds, so guaranteed. Funny story, back in the high school days the cafeteria had poutine, students were limited to 1 poutine per person to keep the line moving. However, one of my buddies was an O-lineman, he was like 6’3 - 290 or so. He was the only guy in the school allowed to have 2 poutines. And he did every single day at lunch, amazing that he’s still alive.

He’s got a reputation as a run stopper and gap controller. The Lions will be his 6th team in his eight years in the league. Definitely well traveled. Best guess is he’s part of what I call the “Panther Killer Package”. We’ve improved the secondary, now it’s time to shut down the run.
