He’s not getting in a ring anytime soon, either. Which is a shame.

You brought up intelligence and logic in your statement that my take was ridiculous and I NEVER mentioned intelligence in reference to you. I referred to Logic bc it is not an unknown that Tibs was passed on. It has been a talking point on multiple threads on here over the last few years. Logic: Lions value hardwork, respect football, team first grinders. No turds. We all know this…how does Tibs fit that. I am not saying your lacking intelligence.

He means well. I’ve been entirely too antagonistic with you in the past, generally speaking about disagreements which later broke your way, and I know from first hand experience that you’re a good sport who knows not to take it personally.

:beers: to some day three gems!

Yep and they’ve brought in a mercenary type if it makes a difference before (CJGJ for example). Did they pass on Thibs? Sure I guess. I don’t think that is a point worthy of bringing up when they passed on him for Aiden. I wasn’t suggesting bringing him in with the intent of handing him a bag of cash. Get the most out of a guy for a year or 2 who probably wants to get paid…But whatever I guess.

And I didn’t question your intelligence whatsoever. Giving up that much of this player is a stretch…is it not? Is not ok for fans to be critical of the move EVEN if you like the player? You can get dismissive with takes as if you know better than others. As if you are an insider sometimes (maybe you are I don’t come around much anymore). What I did verses what you did aren’t even close to the same thing. But it’s whatever…I’m just telling you how it comes off and I don’t think it an opinion as you called yourself a blunt asshole. I’m
Not here for that debate anymore :man_shrugging:t2:

My point is the guy went in the 3rd round and Puka comps (comments like “think Puka”) just makes me shake my head. I’m not going to think Puka until he IS Puka. Guys with minimal production should not inspire anyone to have lofty expectations…but wait to be pleasantly surprised. Hence why I think it’s really dumb to give up so much for a player like that. I don’t even think that’s my opinion…it just is dumb to me. And BH does it often. And…I think there’s plenty of evidence of it not working out.

edit
I’m guilty of some of the same things I’m complaining about btw…and as I’ve said before I like you. Just not into the big debates I used to get into in the past. Have some time to kill today haha

You know in NBA Jam when you go into On Fire mode and so you start chucking it up from sixty feet away bc, well, why not?

I feel like that’s Brad right now.

Similar to how Williams next to Reader and McNeil (some point) will have a big impact on Levi at edge and or Barnes at Edge or the other edges. Harder to help having inside pressure.

Also think TeSlaa, impacts the future with regards to extending Jamo or not.

Agreed. But so would any WR taken in the 3rd round, right?

I hope we keep Jamo and Teslaa blossoms into a stud to go along with ARSB for a three-headed monster. Isaac is fast, but nowhere near Jamo fast. Keep em all!

not many are Jamo fast… :heart_on_fire:

Not necessarily, Lions expect a lot out of their WR beyond just catching the ball and not any WR fits that requirement no matter the round chosen.

Obviously the Lions believe he does.
I think you, and most questioning the pick, are more upset about the picks traded than the actual player. Which I understand but, I just don’t get that upset over it.
As I said last night, I get the questioning and on the surface a lot to give up, but lets see if TeSlaa can justify the pick.

Yes but Patrick miraculously stayed healthy at age 31 after missing the previous two seasons entirely.

I think the brass believes Davenport is much better at DE than Patrick is at WR…

Dude yes

Correct. I’d prefer to fill a position of drastic need rather than drafting a WR. I think the WR could be special. But he doesn’t help the pass rush. Compare how positionally we were at WR compared to DE coming into this draft. We are the weakest at DE compared to any other position on the field. And it’s not even close!!
