I mean I do not even understand this comment.

Are you talking GB verse Lions or overall?

Again walk the position groups and give thoughts. I guess my question would be which postion group would you prefer to have on the Lions? The current Lions or the GBs?

Iā€™m just talking WRs as a group.

And the Green Bay games

How are you coming up with this?

Watson has 61 catches, 12 TDā€™s, and 1,000 yards in his 2 years combined and is always hurt.

Doubs has 101 catches, 1100 yards, 11 TDā€™s in 2 years.

Jayden Reed had a really good year for a rookie but fizzled at the end, 20 receptions in the last 7 games.

Like, I see a group that might be average at best comparatively to the rest of the league.

The biggest difference is in TDs and its
big.
12 TDs
11 TDs
8 TDs

Us
3 TDs
1 TD
16 TDs from the wr group last 2 years.

Listen on first blush I actually really like the GB WR room.

But when I started looking at the overall stats and such I kind of fell out of love. And I am an MSU guy and I question if Reed is for real or just an opportunist.

And the reason I asked about season verse the Lions is because the Lions had a poor pass defensive team. So you are comparing their WRs against our crap passing defense. When you look at the whole the shine starts to fade quickly.

Again I do not hate the GB WR group as a whole. It feels like they have a nice young core. I am interested to see how GB develops as a team this season.

Also someone said that GB had a better HC than Detroitā€¦and I am kind of shocked. MCDC has impressed me more and more. Just his whole approach. How he treats he assistants. How he has attacked the culture and how he has taken the Lions success or lack of it head on.

Lets just say this. If MCDC was a FA this past off season. I would have expected an absolute frenzy. The guy has done what seemed impossible. I do not think many coaches would create that right now.

I am struggling to find the proper comparison. But all this shows is GB can not run the ball in. Detroit outscored them the past 2 years.

Listen I think we have all beaten this to death. It is fair to say GB has a nice solid young group of WR. I would not trade their group for ours. Mostly because of ARSB and the potential of Jamo. But it is not an outlandish suggestion or position to like GBs WR better than Detroit as a whole.

Found the stat.

2023 Lions 27 Rushing TDs GB 10
2023 Lions 23 Rushing TDs GB 12

So Detroit also ran the ball in more than GB. And GB had to pass it to score. So these TD stats can get funky.

Lol you keep moving the goal post, we were talking position groups, now your defense is well we got more from our RBs witch has nothing to do with, itā€™s what make us a better team, we were lots better at RB and TE. But our WRs are not as good, maybe that why we lean on a rookie TE and our RBs.

All bias aside, I totally agree!! I donā€™t think Love is there yet. But image if we replace our current WR group with GBs, I think Goff is the different

Not moving the goal post. I actually granted that your position was reasonable.

I am merely pointing out that stats outright can be a funky comparison due to teams strengths. Or lack of them as would be the case for GB and the ability to run the ball.

I think our online and our Run game is what makes this team special.

And this is what causes all the issues. Is Goff great or is he Purdy?

I often use the justification that Purdy is barely top half of the league and then proceed to list 10-14 QBs that I truly believe would be as good or better in that offense. But you can likely do the same for Goff. And I do not think the same can be said for KC or Cincy where Mahomes and Burrows clearly stir the drinks. As a matter of fact I feel pretty strongly that with healthy Burrows or Mahomes last season the Lions win the SB. Now that is a bit unfair as I view those 2 as the elite of the NFL and to me it is not even close. And I am not a Goff hater. I actually love his game and how he operates.

What part do you disagree with?

I think Goff is great here, thatā€™s all I care about lots of player play different in different situations.

WRs and itā€™s not that close imo.

That was my first thought when basing conclusions on TDā€™s.
Offenses are different and the Detroit running game would probably outdo GB when it comes to TD totals.
Itā€™s an interesting stat, and a part of the answer, but a small part and not sure how big a role it plays in the overall question.

I think the depth and potential on the GB side can lead to this conclusion, yet, still to early to know for certain and a final answer.

Yeah could be but Iā€™m going last 2 years, Jamo has a chance to make a good Jump and DPJ could surprise also. Will see . But Reed and company are young also. So improvement there is also expected.
