Just my first try.

The numbers for Ford Flowers and Moseley look waaaaaaayyyyyy under where they are projected to come in. Each is looking at 12 to 14 aav. I get you can do some signing bonus magic, but it doesnt seem at all realistic. Would I like it? Yup.

Honestly if we can sign just one real difference maker in FA and then hit on one in the draft I will be very happy.

I’m against drafting a CB in the first two rounds. They take zo long to develop that it’s no longer worth it but the time comes to re-up with the team.

Just personal opinion.

That last one was an excellent draft. I expect all three of them first three to be going in the first round. Walker has been rising into the first.

I take just the opposite approach. I’d take a DB in the first 3 EVERY draft (something New England does often). You can’t have too many good DB’s. They are very expensive in free agency. It’s really hard to hide a bad DB. Opposing OC’s scheme against weak DBs.

Here is an interesting draft from today. Focus is on offense since they were
BPA at the time. I would like more def early but couldn’t pass on the players in the first 3 rounds. Could you live with this draft?

What’s nice about having 2 really good corners is that you can often leave them out there 1 on 1 and bring the house, or mix it up and send as many as you want from different directions. OTOH, having a really good pass rush doesn’t require those CBs to hang with a receiver that long either. Good players are going to cost you these days no matter where they play, the key is not to miss on those early picks and don’t reach. Plus you need to hit on those day 3 guys.

Give me…
Trey Flowers 4/$48 million
Haha Clinton Dix 5/$50 million
Ronald Darby 3/$30 million

I feel Rashan Gary is the versatile DE we can use to replace the 17 million dollar man. I added Jaylon Ferguson to help. I got the best TE available in the second. I fortified the RB situation with Montgomery, losing KJ obliterated the latter part of the year for our runing game. Hanks was tearing up the senior bowl. Hall and Dortch fill holes in the WR corps. Jimmy Moreland is a scrappy CB and I threw another body at the DL to help with the pass rush. I liked this draft

Not a dream draft but my goodness…

Stafford is not a highly mobile QB. We need to protect him or the O is worthless.

OG, OT, and DE are all very glaring needs. We could use lots of help in other areas too, but I think upgrading the trenches is most important. A really good DL makes subpar DB look a whole lot better. When we had Such & Fairly, with a healthy Ansah and Jones on the ends…Naaaasty!

2 RBs, WR and 2 TEs?

Did we rehire Mayhew?

We need 2 RBs, 2 TEs and 2WRs.

Yep, absolutely correct.

Gotta remember to take account for guys we are likely letting go, like Blount, Willson, and Riddick.
